Probably the most revolutionary music group/muscians/composers of all time---yes even beyond Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Stones, etc. Thanks for posting this concert. My computer danced with joy while it played! Computers, robots, and man machines on the prowl forever!

I went to this gig in 2013 without really knowing who Kraftwerk were other than some old dudes playing synth. Little did i expect that it would be the greatest gig of my life. I mean they embody the sound of the modern world. the cold, hard monotonous repetion they represent removes it's self from the emotional, sentimental stigma other genres like pop create. They are simply the sound of science and innovation and the godfathers of electronic music. even if you don't like their sound they must be respected!
@rahuld87067 жыл бұрын
They are godfathers of electronic music they were probably way ahead of their time producing electronic music in 70s was beyond imagination as their were not too many modern instruments in that Era.

Not to start an argument, but electronic music had existed for nearly a century before Kraftwerk even started. Halim El-Dabh was making tape loop compositions during the war and then there was a French and later German wave of electronic music in the 50s. There were also American and Japanese waves of electronic music; even Jamaican dub wave prior to Kraftwerk's first productions. The only thing Kraftwerk pioneered was popularizing something that had been obscure and quite academic; even artsy before. Anyway, I'm off to listen to some Karlheinz Stockhausen now. I feel inspired.

@videocircus10 жыл бұрын
AlainRaes67 Giorgio was a DJ..... Kraftwerk were composers and innovators of electro-pop. They created the stuff that Giorgio played.
@AlainRaes6710 жыл бұрын
giorgio and his team of programmers were the real fathers of electro pop , they invented tapeloops clocked to analog sequencers (like you use loops in modern daws) and i feel love is really what the future would sound like 20 years later , get your history right ;°)
@AlainRaes6710 жыл бұрын
even moog didnt know it could be done this way (let alone kraftwerk) , giorgio pinned a moog sequencer gate to a multitrack tape (that contained drumloops in several bar segments ) and put layer on layer of sequencer triggered to the taped gated clock , he did in 1977 what all producers would do 20 years later , kraftwerk didnt even grasp these methods , so moroder was defenatly ahead (together with tangerine dream) in the technology game

Pens Everywhere, don't want to pull the age thing on you, but I can't begin to describe impact Kraftwerk had on me when I first heard Autobhan in the mid 70s after a musical diet of Status Quo and Rod Stewart! They kicked it all off. There isn't anyone producing electronic music today who don't owe it to Kraftwerk.
