I copied this from my original post: I took this to my French class in 1988 and the class went insane. The class rooms along the entire hall literally left the rooms to see what was going on. Then,... the teacher came out and did this Float and moonwalk that was so perfect the students cheered soooo loud it caused the principal, vice principal, coaches and security to come and see why 5 class rooms gathered at once. I FELT EPIC... I was the kid who "did that thing in class". I lived that Legendary life for awhile. ..

I was in high school when I had my first exposure to this (in the US) when it was sampled by Egyptian Lover within a year of this release. It took me until the 90s to realize most of the club music we were listening to was based off one Kraftwerk's music. They were definitely trailblazers in the industry and truly changed the landscape of music even today! No small feat!!

At 51 now i fondly remember playing this and Herbie Hankok's Rocket on replay learning my robot and Bodypoping craft. This taught me to break the moves within moves and be intricate. I can feel the ticking now as i listen. The best times.

The first thing I really noticed when I listened to this and compaired to Spotify was the raw sounds and less post processing (even tho I can be wrong) the instruments sound like what they would not something rerecorded on an emulator that has been programmed to sound ''alike''. I like this

I heard an interview with Wolfgang Flur where he said their studio process was to try & use as little in the way of effects on the main synths sounds as possible. They had problems with mixing desks not handling amped up pure signals from the synths without attenuation. They developed their own mixing & amplification at shows to try & get the pure synth sound out through the PA.

My favourite track when cycling. But it's easy to lose your tempo to try and match with the song's, and end up losing some leg. God bless Kraftwerk for keeping it short, they did a little too good of a job. Perfect for the last spurt though, when the sprinters start going nuts at the last 4-5k. Just missing the chain shifting sound in this version. That part feels fab.
