Glad you like it! It's very fond to me after all these years. I actually performed it live with my video game cover band last year. We used a cello instead of an accordion (since... we didn't have an accordion, but we do have a cellist). It worked pretty great and I'm happy with that version as well. I'm hoping the band will do some proper recordings at a later stage :)

I close my eyes and I see that fireplace, that freezing night. Those memories of monsters and those wild, uncontrolled days. That struggle and that isolation dark and grand and drunken. A memory for no one else to hear; one that cannot be shared. I love it. I love whenever someone reaches into the past and takes an idea and makes it into a story like this. Thank you.

Mind. Blown. It is not just an epic cover of an epic tune. it is also the only cover/remix that actually brings out the feel of the original and the only one that is good enough compared to the original to be listened to over and over!

I just wanted to say some important words about this song. This is the only song on the album that made me tear up in the enthralled emotions. The Obvious bits of the Kraid song are brilliant, but then comes 2:05, and I lose it... just I feel the soul of the artist crying out through the melody, and I just get drunken and lost in it. Thank you again for this.

this sounds almost like an opening to a series or a movie or something. a sure sign of a great song is that it puts an image in your head and let me tell you, this gives me a whole film of samus kicking dragon ass. nicely done amigo!
