What's funny is that Kraid's Lair is written in 6/8 time, which is equivalent to 3/4 in mathematical terms, which makes it an actual waltz (kind of but not really but you get it right?)

I've heard both and like that the original continues the isolation vibe of the game but also like that ZM seems to sound frantic and more action packed. A remix with both vibes would be awesome. Like this one :D

I'm late to giving this a listen by quite a bit. I love your rendition of this! Love the fact that it has older instruments and more of a pacing you'd hear in fantasy settings with more of a medieval flavor. Very well done. Love hearing how others do things differently.

You know, I hope the Space Pirates come back in later games. Same with the Metroids. It'd be a shame if the francise's roots were to be discarded after Zebes got blown up in Super Metroid. And besides, the Space Pirates have the best themes. Kraid's Lair from Metroid I and Ridley's Lair from Super Metroid are absolute bangers, and it'd be a shame if we never got to see those masterpieces again.

They're all dead, with the exception of Phantoon. I agree that they're iconic, but it simply wouldn't make sense to bring them back. They're all gone. It's a story-driven game, and they all played their part in that story in the past. I do feel like a Super Metroid remake would be in order though- Not anything different gameplay-wise, but just, completely updated graphics and sound design.
