I’m not sure if you’ve ever considered, but you could make a small drive to the gulf side during red snapper season. It’s far longer ~5.5 hours of fishing, and they will usually go after other species since everyone limits out on ARS within a hour

This trip targeted other species too, but we it was slow. Do you have any suggestions for gulf charters/headboats? I have Hubbard’s Marina on the list, but that’s about it.

@@theanglercrew7059 ahh gotcha, thought you’ve been on a few for the gulf side! Here’s what I’m familiar with: Double Eagle out of Clearwater has a 12 hour trip that goes after Red Groupers, 17inch + mangrove, and ARS when in season ~ $195 with parking. Miss Virginia out of Tarpon Springs does something similar around the same price range. Shorter trips (8hrs) Queen Fleet & Double Eagle out of Clearwater have a fairly decent chance at landing hogfish from early winter to late spring when using lots of live shrimp. Thunder Partyboat out of Hernando (full day) are pretty good at getting gag groupers during late fall - early winter before season closes. Not great for hogfish compared to queen or double eagle. Florida Fishing Fleet out of Bradenton has a 6hr trip that gets keeper Red Groupers around half the time they head out. But, hardly any hogfish. For anything longer than 12hrs, you gotta go with Gulfstar out of Tarpon Springs! They are like yankee capt. and American patriot. Some of their trips definitely require deep drop reels for yellow edge, snowies, etc. They’re not cheap, but less jammed than Hubbard. Then, there’s the split charter for 6. I only know Salty Knots and Captain Morgan. Hope this will be of some use for you! I fished a lot on the gulf side, and also try party boats whenever I’m at a different area - Carolinas, Southern California, etc. Probably the reason, why I enjoy watching your videos❤️

Do you call and ask if they have “split charters”?
