Regarding the playoff push or starting to become a deadline seller, I think it isn’t time to sell yet but we are pretty danged close. Going into the Chicago game the Kraken need to play .612 points percentage hockey until the end of the season to hit 92 points and have a chance at a western conference wildcard spot, which I don’t think is impossible for this team, however unlikely. If the required pace becomes .650 at any point, though, it’s time to fold, and that time might come extremely quickly if the team keeps losing. Like, as soon as this weekend.

I want Kakko playing on the Beniers line. They're both young and this is an excellent opportunity to build chemistry. Time and again, I've seen Beniers make superb no look passes to the crease only to discover no one is home. A playmaker could be exactly what Kakko needs to get going at the NHL level. Also, I'm still riding the Chandler Stephenson is bad train, so I do not want Kakko picking up bad habits from him. As far as I'm concerned the Kraken are not making the playoffs, so I want to see the team prioritize getting youth minutes. Let Beniers and Kakko use the second half of this season to find the back of the net. If it doesn't work out, then shuffle him to a different line. Every Rangers fan I've seen talk about Kakko mentions his lack of ice time being a factor in his development. If we're going to take a chance that he's a top six player, then we need to treat him like he's a top six forward. You can't expect someone to excel when you treat them like they're mediocre. Water seeks it's own level.

Totally agree he should play with Beniers and Schwartz

“Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, You’re Gone.” 😂 Good question and answer with Ron. I do think this is a good opportunity for Will in a contract year though. Trade to a big market raises his profile. He’s a winner here, so is Kaapo and so are the Kraken trading an expiring contract for a proven NHLer on a decent contract going RFA with arb rights. I think the only loser here are the New York Rangers, and how.

Hey, how’d Erica know in the intro that the Seattle Kraken are my favourite team!? Spooky psychic stuff goin’ on, clearly.

Burakovsky has not produced relevent to the size of his contract. You add in the injury laden last couple of seasons and it would not surprise me at all if he's history.
