The losi ones are nice this thing has a different level of its own the yeti xl I'm building is just the beginning I think love the suspension design very real stuff and fun.

EV TEK hi mate...i watch you on rc sparks for a while almost since you stsrted participating and later as part of the show it self. 🙄 i need your tek expertise lol. i have stock losi 5t with the 29cc engine. im very undecided beyween an exaust pipe...2 accually. samba big belly or losi tuned pipe. i like the sambas quality and row look but it seems like sound exacly the same as stock while im afraid tath losi one is too loud. anyway do you know how the perform. if any of them performs better? or have any advantage over another. please feel free to give opinion as i will follow it at my own risk...true opinion please if you know of course😉 thanks mate. would be really helpfull cause i cant seem to find any on youtube or forums comparing these two. even few samba big belly vids. it as been a pleasure eatching you on rc sparks with all you knoledge and good laughs lol

2nd Vekta I have owned after break in I hit a car head at full speed in front of my house. Buggy totaled was able the savage some motor parts and the rear end. Bought 2nd one with a long block and rebuilt the motor. Almost broken in, all this time a never bashed as yet. I learn my lesson the hard way I have stopped running in front of my house and run at a safe area. Still breaking the motor in should be ready to bash this week end. One negative comment the roll cage body is a pain to install should be more like my Losi 5ive-T. Great Buggy.

I really like the k&n filter i have on my losi dbxl, hope we get a mount to use k&n filter on the vekta 5. Piggybacks shocks too. I have the one from the losi five shocks HR piggiback shocks caps, if shocks caps are same diameter as losi five they will fit.

There is zero reason for this to have piggy back shocks. It already will use a keg worth of shock oil to rebuild these things!

When you see one in person you will be convinced. We have a few locals that stop by the warehouse and saw it in person. Their eyes all pretty much fell out of their head.

No brushless version as of yet. I think getting a motor and speed controller mounted won't be too difficult; but finding an adequate mount for the battery will be tough. You will have to use the MGM speed controller, no way the Castle will hold up to the heft of this guy.

lots of quality parts here much better than Losi 5IVE-T......i'll be saving up this winter and getting this in spring..... sweet as hell 1 5 scale

I would probably change the bearings in the gear housing to rubber sealed...

Agreed! FastEddy already has a sealed bearing set available for it. After having run it in the sandy/dusty environment I can see where sealed bearings will be an advantage to keeping maintenance and potential failures to a minimum

What do you mean "FWD" function? Four wheel drive? Front wheel drive? There is no center diff, so equal power is sent to both front and rear. There is an adjustable slipper clutch. Running rear wheel drive is as simple as removing the center front driveshaft.

+John Knopp I don't think that's what he's saying. A slipper clutch is normally on the engine input to the transmission. The front and rear diffs are completely locked together on this car.

We don't have a Dragon Hammer, if you look at some of the 1/5 Facebook groups there are photos of it next to the Losi Mini WRC. Same wheelbase, similar overall size as the 5IVE. A bit heavier, mostly due to everything being aluminum and much more beefy. Dragon Hammer doesn't even compare. It is more of a Losi DBXL with a rear trailing suspension.

I am using a standard G320 for now with a CY high flow muffler. Generally where I run is not tuned pipe noise friendly. Happy with the grunt that it produces so far!

Yes, 4 wheel drive. There is no center diff, so power is sent 50/50 front and rear. The front and rear diffs are open but can be tuned with different weight diff fluid. There is an adjustable slipper clutch on the center transmission shaft.
