Top tip, if you wrap the treads with tape in the clockwise direction when you thread the cap on it won't unravel the tape.

Hey Medic, Greetings from India. A little tip for next time you're working on shocks.... When applying Teflon tape, hold the shock so that the threads are facing you and wrap the tape clockwise round the threads. that way you will not have to hold it in place like you did in 12:51 of the video when you were reattaching the shock collar. This is a universal method of applying Teflon tape to any thread, be it metal, plastic or PVC. Keep up with the AWESOME VIDEOS!

You should think about getting some rubber boots for where your dog bones meet the cups. Put grease inside the rubber boots and tip wrap them in place. Helps with 1/5 scale trucks from braking their dog bones.

One little thing to add, you may need to reapply the oil to the pipe occasionally. If you ever look at the machines in a busy machine shop, they never rust. That’s because they get little drops of cutting oil on them constantly.

Looking good looking forward to see how it performs on your track. Kraken has the rear upper links with alloy heim joints in stock along with the front upper arm heim joints. They also have the front upper brace and alloy diff housing, not sure on stock levels, so I ordered the diff housing and front upper brace as stock goes quickly so bought these this time round and next the front upper heim joints, maybe the rear upper links and alloy heim joints at the same time.Vertigo performance have several VEKTA-5 parts in particular the rear lower links front mount's which I have, his stock must be short as most parts seem to be sold out, but hey go have a look Clayton is from your neck of the woods. I have his clutch pinion, front body mount post's, rear upper quick release body mounts, along with the gas tank quick release kit for the 5ive-T/VEKTA-5. Just been watching this video as laid up with my back and shoulder to painful to stand up to work on my fleet, and rain supposed to be coming in tonight. I am glad to have the Axis-RC VEKTA-5 rocket stand adapter as it makes it easy to work on as I have their knuckle joint also. Just wish they did one for my Dragon Hammer also hint hint Axis-RC.Where is Everet's MTXL has he got a KV5 yet or is he sticking to his 5ive-B to race in the buggy class. If you get enough VEKTA-5's are you going to have a separate class for them as it seems at the moment no one has decided where they fit.

nice vid!!! this truck is cool. I just ordered my trailfinder 2 and was wondering if I should get 1.9s or 2.2s the tires I was thinking where the mud slingers or the mickey thompson baja claws. I am in a semi colder climate in British columbia. which tires do you recommend?? thanks
@Quebekcrawler7 жыл бұрын
Stick to 1.55 on a TF2. 1.9 wouldn't work well with the small diff gears and 2.2s would make no sense. Congrats on the new truck! PitBull is coming out with new 1.55s and the Baja Claw also work very well
@Quebekcrawler7 жыл бұрын
JC R.C. If you are running the small slingers I'd say it should rip pretty damn well! No arguments at all I understand your questioning, the tf2 is a very scale truck, smaller tires will keep it more stable on the rocks. The larger the tires the more axle wrap you will get.

First and foremost I want to say that I really love your channel and really appreciate all the effort you put into making the videos, they are both educational and entertaining. But, you knew there was a "but" coming ;) I feel like you're holding back on how you really feel about the Kraken Vekta5! I remember how excited you were about the Losi 5T, declaring, "I love the Losi 5T". Along with that statement we saw tons of running videos, a good endorsement of a bone stock 1/5 scale RTR truck which you subsequently beat the crap out of before going into your upgrade video series. However, with the Vekta5 you've spent more time upgrading and fixing than running it! What I would love to hear from you is whether this truck is worth it? Would we be better off with a Losi 5T or a TLR 5B? Keeping in mind that most people don't have the budget for multiple 1/5 scale cars. I mean, I would hate to spend $1,500 plus on a truck and then realize that I have to immediately spend time and money on fixing and upgrading it. This is where the educational part of your video series comes in. The Vekta5 is a beautiful thing to look at standing still and that solid rear axel is amazing, but it seems like that's where the fairytale ends. It just seems too heavy, it breaks easily as a consequence, and and that rear end seems to be twerking its way into the twerking hall of fame every time I see a running video. Anyway, I think we would all appreciate your honest feedback, even if it comes at the expense of upsetting your sponsors and/or friends. In the meantime thanks for all that you do and keep up the good work.
