Poles are extremely friendly and treat everyone equally. Remember that every person has a great value in themselves that should be accepted and liked by others. And one more thing. Every good word, every deed will be rewarded twice.

Zapiekanka were created in response to the deepening economic crisis in the late 1970s. The meat is practically gone from stores. The shops had bread, cheese, mushrooms and ketchup. The casserole was composed of these ingredients. It seemed that the zapiekanka would not survive the deluge of street food after the fall of communism. This dish has survived and is doing well all over Poland. Zapiekanka is the same as casserole 🙂

Polish donuts are yeast donuts whereas other countries use baking soda or baking powder. It makes a huge difference taste wise.

Pierogi is allready plural, no need to add "s" at the end - Cheers!
@onemercilessming13422 жыл бұрын
It's my understanding that pierogi is plural and pierog is singular. No one ever eats just one pierog, so you order pierogi.

Only in crowded areas but not particular to Krakow, think of any busy touristy areas. General precaution. Thanks for watching!
