Krakow IS cheap, if you stay in or around the main tourist areas and main square then it's London prices, if you stay one street back from the square and surrounding streets then it's very cheap, go off the regular tourist routes and go local.

You’re right about the square being London Prices! They are now putting a 15% service charge on Top of the Bill! I have lived in Krakow for 10 years now, brilliant city but other parts of the city are also Expensive such as the Jewish area and Zoblocie where a bottle of wine is 150-200 zloty and an International beer is 20-30 zloty (£4-6) a cup of tea in Krakow is 20 zloty at most places (€5) a men’s hair cut costs 100 zloty (£20) at the Barbers. 🙏 You are Smart cos when you order Polish drinks it’s much cheaper but when you order International Known Wine Brands or Forwign Beer or Cider Brands eg. Guiness, Murphy’s, Pauliner etc it is expensive at the bars but cheap at the supermarkets. 5 years ago it was extremely cheap in Krakow but inflation here is super high! It’s still a brilliant city and probably the best city break destination in Europe! @@travelwithcol4625 Milk Bar Tomasza was good indeed! Had an omelette and the pancakes looked yummy! However, since there's table service and the prices are a bit dearer, I do think it's more of an inexpensive restaurant than a "traditional" milk bar. Good indeed, not questioning that, but if you want a true milk-bar experience, perhaps not the first pick. Found one at Ul. Czysta 1, called Mila. Decent prices, almost only locals inside, pretty crammed around noon (all tables taken), the lady behind the counter doesn't speak any English which is sometimes part of the experience ;o). Perhaps you want to visit them for your videos, I can certainly recommend!

There is too many bikes here????? Are you serious???? People live here and commute to work. The tourists should be aware that it is not Disney Land but a city where people need to move.

The bike riders should not be allowed to ride in areas with high levels of people such as the main market square, pavements in the city or by the river in the busy part! I was hit by a fast moving cyclist at the main market square and had a broken arm! The Health and Safety must improve in Krakow and the authorities have done nothing to solve this, a fast moving vehicle in an area where people walk should not be legal

@@travelwithcol4625 I am very sorry to hear that you got harm. I assume that was a fault of the cyclist. However, limiting the bike traffic in the city is not the answer. We need to live and commute here. I cycle through the market square on the way to work not because I like it, but because simply, there is no other reasonable route. It would mostly be roads with the 70km/h traffic, or narrow sidewalks. We need to admit that Krakow was never design for tourists and/or cyclists. There is no space to built dedicated cycling paths within the old town. The police here is very strict on cyclists. I was stopped recently a few times for the bike checkup and alcohol tests. No doubts, the guy who hit you just broke the law, which in (very vague way) states that the cyclists must adopt the speed to the pedestrians traffic. I think what is lacking here is the respect to each other and some common sense.

@wojciechtabis5913 I have lived in Krakow for 10 years now and I love Poland but in this city cyclists cycle fast in areas where it is full of people as a solution the Police must install cameras to monitor this and put controls in place and rules! In Britain cyclists have to cycle on the roads and are not permitted to cycle on the pavements, at the hospital they told me that people get hit by cyclists in krakow on a daily basis, it’s a huge problem. I am qualified in Health and Safety so I am aware of the risks of fast moving vehicles and the serious injuries that they can cause
