The geographical Centre of Europe is in Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, or in the east of Poland (depending on what method of measuring is used). East Europe means Russia. Look at the map of Europe. Poland is in Central Europe so Austria is definitely not an Eastern Europe country.
