Yes, usually he's "a little off" but has one foot in reality. At times, he is even the most reasonable one of the four. But in this one, he's legit mental.

Interesting aspect of this storyline is this was an idea the writers had for a while, but they could only implement it after Larry David left because he kept shooting it down. It's one of my favorites from Seinfeld.

As I recall, the last two seasons were the least critically acclaimed. But, having watched these as a teenager in the ‘90s, the whole series was great, but, for sheer laughs, the last two seasons were the funniest tv there has ever been. There’s something about middle aged New Yorkers being silly that’s hilarious.

One of the wonderful subtle things in this episode, is the difference between how Jerry and Elaine are introduced to the set (they know about it before walking into it, so they're sort of prepared even though it's still crazy), vs. George (he walks in cold), and seeing George's different reaction walking into this ridiculous madman's living materialized TV fantasy.

I was sitting on a bench outside my apartment and this squirrel was puttering around and got a little too close to me, though not trying to get my attention; maybe it was going blind? A minute or so later a hawk swooped down on the other side of the bushes where it was. I walked around and saw it standing over its kill with its wings spread (perhaps to hide it from other predators), until it was ready to grab it and take off with it.

The idea that Kramer would set uo his apt like a late night talk show in his own home with no audience lol would be funny if he had a house party with a real studio audience of homeless people and fat weird old new Yorkers complaining that whole time aboitnwhere the free food is and he takes them into Jerry's apt to raid his kitchen and Jerry just reluctantly goes along with it and outs uo with the complaints of him nor having enif free food lol Jerry is like "alright ill go get more food " lol
