Great sculpture! And if everybody would be this humble about contoversial topics, I think the world would be a much better place to live in.

An amazing sculpt, again. Your art is fantastic. Horns, fur, basket - they are proof of skill and will. And I appreciate your point about day to day racism. We live in a time where it is very easy to learn about our history, even the not popular sides (as a german I can say we have some racist issues, too) and it's hard to accept the truth sometimes, but ignorance is no choice.

Thank you! You are right that it is amazing that there is so much information available today. You just have to make the choice to learn.

Such an amazing technical sculpt, my draw dropped when I saw how you made the wicker basket. Thanks for sharing your growth and this absolutely wicked Krampus!

Thank you! I think the wicker basket took me almost the same time as all of the rest of sculpt, haha! Thanks for inviting me to this group project!

This is why art is so important. The creator learns from it and in turn the observer is taught something. Beautiful work. Thank you.

That’s a brilliant Krampus! Here in Bavaria (next to Austria, so we have very similar traditions) we know the Kramus too. There always was a Krampus with St. Nikolaus who visited us (1970s) - but luckily here he was no monster but a human in clothes made of sack-stuff and a black bearded (not sure if this made it better 😅). Nevertheless he was there who punished children and eventually put the in his sack - the contrary to the holy St. Nicolaus (DEZ 6th) The Krampus-Tradition faded away for educational reasons as I remember and in the 90s rarely a Krampus was seen any more with the holy St. Nikolaus as one didn’t want to raise children with fear anymore. It was interesting to hear that you have a very similar tradition and your struggles with it. Thanks for sharing! And I’m still blown away by your sculpture-skills. Your Krampus is so brilliant.

Thanks for shining some light on other krampus traditions! I think you are right that people became more and more protective of their children during the 90’s. I did find some info that krampus is coming back in some regions. Thanks for the compliment also! 😊

PLEASE do NOT listen to the RACE argument. An American company called BLACKROCK is the reason for all the WOKE BULL💩 meant to SHAME you for your traditions. BLACKROCK issues ESG scores to companies THE MORE WOKE THE HIGHER ESG BLACKROCK SCORES YOUR BUSINESS.. look at Disney Be PROUD of your Culture, EVERY COUNTRY HAS A BAD PAST. Africans were the ones ROUNDING UP AND SELLING THEIR OWN but get off as the victims. Stop letting American woje garbage infect your brains.. blm was a scam now look they bought 4 mansions with donations and are bankrupt. Look up the evil of BLACKROCK

Krampus came out really good! And I really appreciate your message, it's very tough to examine one's own biases and blindspots, and good on you recognizing that 💚

Great to see you picking up Krampus! Here in Austria it is a well known tradition and every year people will dress up as Krampus also called "Perchten" with big bells on their back and run through the streets. It's actually scary as s child.

I can only imagine! Some of the costumes I’ve seen are so scary! 😳

Great job on making such a thoughtful video 👍🏾 The Krampus is excellent in its own right, but feels more meaningful knowing your reasoning and his history.

Thank you! I really worried that the video would be incoherent, but I’ve been getting a lot of good reactions like yours. Guess the idea worked out in the end 🙈 Thanks!
