and it's a symbol of his brother; Deimos, since this isn't the first god of war game wear Kratos used a Spear and Shield combo. when I saw the Draupnir Spear for the first time, it instantly reminded me of the Arms of Sparta from GOW: Ghost of Sparta, which functioned in a similar fashion to the Draupnir Spear. complete with unlimited spears as a ranged attack. it was like Kratos reuniting with his brother in spirit. not even death could keep Deimos from aiding him. @@NikeZay2 Draupnir was just a ring though, yes it was Odin's from Brok and Sindri, but the spear form was crafted for Kratos by The Lady. Originally it was just a duplicating gold ring, for infinite wealth/gold.

I recently met Robert Craighead (voice of Brok) at Sacanime 2023 and me and my brother (along with the other God of War cast there) had him sign our Leviathan Axe, but before that we told him "it needs the blessing of a great voice actor" and so he did the blessing word for word from the game in the Brok voice (spit and all) on our Axe along with his signature. Also, apparently Adam J Harrington (voice of Sindri who was at the table next to Robert's) said that was the first time he saw Robert perform the blessing because he called in sick during the day the blessing was recorded.

I love the spear. Been my best weapon for most fight. Only changed to the others when I have to. It’s reach in come combat is better then the axe and it’s range throw is faster without having to recall it every time you throw it and the explosions are awesome.

I can see its only drawback being that parrying with it isn't as good, necessitating you to move quite a bit while getting meaningful hits in. Combo with the right shield, any single enemy ain't getting a hit in.

I love how each of krato’s weapons because they all have a representation of them. Blades of Chaos = fire of Rage and hatred Leviathan axe = Ice of Love and Compassion Draugnir Spear = Wind of Protection and Assurance.

Considering that the One Ring was probably inspired by the Andvaranaut (Andvari's Gift), I think you're a little off. Andvari's ring was cursed to bring ruin to whoever bore it that wasn't Andvari, as those around you would desire it for themselves. Hell, Fafnir murdered his own father for the Andvaranaut and turned himself into a dragon to keep it. To be fair, Tolkien was a Norse scholar, so mistaking one ring for another isn't too far off.

We already did. The Leviathan Axe was Faye's weapon, the Jotnar equivalent of Mjolnir. Its significance is that Faye, or more properly Laufey, is the reason Kratos started his march to redemption.

I think the Brok/Sindri had a Spearhead already made and they used that as the basis for the Draupnir Spear. If you look closely, the Spearhead already has the combined mark on it.

So I’ve been playing the game for around 18 hours now. I’m at the point where I worry that I’m getting close to the end and I don’t want the game to end yet. Could someone tell me how much of the story is left after you get the spear?

I’d say the main story is about 20-25 hrs long. So you probably have around 6-7 to go. I was worried about finishing it too quick, but I took some time in between chapters to do some side-quests and upgrade my gear. Beat the main story in a week and a half and felt like that was a good pace.
