My thing is, had Sindri died, I feel like Brok would’ve been upset, but also wouldn’t have held anything against Kratos and Atreus because of one simple fact He knew how to let something go Sindri held such value on practically everything, to the point where I have to wonder if he ever knew how to let go of something, whether it be small like when people don’t follow his rules on cleanliness and hygiene, or bigger like Draupnir to make a weapon for Kratos Brok on the other hand knew how to let things go, he didn’t get overly attached to anything since he knew someday he’d lose that thing, whether it be a treasure, or a person Had Sindri died, Brok would’ve sent his brother off with a funeral, remember him fondly, and continue helping Kratos and Atreus, but Sindri just couldn’t let Brok go, which not only led to him becoming a shell of his former self, but also damning his brother to oblivion, no peace, no afterlife, nothing I like Sindri, but I like Brok a whole lot more, because of all this

I read by super fans that the reason Kratos was able to counter Heimdall’s perfect foresight, is because Kratos adapted over the fight to attack with PURE instinct. No thinking at all. No planning his moves or trying to strategize, thus heimdall had nothing to read and predict from Kratos’ mind. He allowed his innate spartan warrior and war god skills to take over so he didn’t have to think.

Fun fact: Kratos was actually gauging what Heimdall was capable of in the beginning. His punches were slower and sloppier, slowly increasing in speed and accuracy. Another fun fact: Heimdalls teeth were stated to be golden in norse mythology, which is why his teeth seem rotted in game. Bros got grills.

Kratos is able to feel his sons pain because he went through what Atreus went through with garm in the first game when he had to defeat ares. The connections the creators give the characters adds so much more depth than people think

@@maazuponvelocity I say they have a resemblance due to both of them fixing a mistake, Atreus had freed garm, causing garm to cause trouble through the nine realms. He fixed the problem by killing garm and putting fenrir soul in his body. Kratos striked a bargain with ares, a mistake that would lead to kratos being elslaved. He fixed his wrong doing by killing ares and becoming the new god of war. Hope that clears it up

watching this again a year later, but just wanted to comment on something. I feel like the scene with Thor and Thrud really captures what it’s like to have an alcoholic or addicted parent and how it feels to need to “parent” them and be upset with their repeated behavior and mistakes. As someone who has an alcoholic mother and an addicted father the scene really hit home to me. When she was trying to get him out the bar, the scene after the fight where she’s telling him to get up and what to do. I know it all too well :/ even when she’s defeated and tells him he f*cked up… hits wayyyy too close to home and i think that scene captured that kind of relationship well
