Thanks Dad! You know, I think I’m going to start calling you Dad now. Watching your videos helps fill the void of my DAD who said he’d fix my bike when he got back from picking up a pack of smokes, but never came back home. Your videos fill a deep void that is now full because of you! I’ve learned so much from you More then my past 12 dads and you’re Lucky 13. The name Ridin Dad saddens me though at times for the lack of piggy back rides I received from the past 12 dads, and was hoping maybe one day we can “go on a ride together” Thanks again for another video and hope to meet you one day at a Father’s Day event maybe!

I have a 2020 Low Rider S. I am not good with the stock risers as they do a number on my back and shoulders. The Bitwell 10 inch with pullback risers (I am 5"11") I am leaning to getting (saw your video on the Biltell risers as well). But then I saw this video. Which would you suggest using for an upright comfortable riding position ? Which IYO would be the most perferable ? Thanks
@RidinDad Жыл бұрын
100% the KRaus setup in this video. Hands down it is the most comfortable and the most ergonomic. Its far better in every single way. It's pricey sadly but you definitely get what you pay for with it. This setup has more pullback, less vibration, and better modularity for fine tuning too.

@RidinDad Жыл бұрын
If you’re tight on money nothing is wrong with the biltwell. But the internal bushing system, modularity, and quality of the kraus is worth the cash for sure. I went with 8 inch risers here plus the trex added height and pullback. For me it’s perfect.

Again, I came to your video and learning few things. Question, karus makes this t-rex or raptor plate with hard bushing. I am installing a raptor plate on my lucky dave riser and wondering if it is safe to go with solid bushing? I don't have a karus isolated riser that is equipped with bushing on top riser.
@RidinDad Жыл бұрын
You want to install solid bushings in your risers as well on the solid bushings on the raptor plate? The raptor plate will mount the tree with solid bushings. Then you greet the plate as your triple tree for your risers. So typically you would install whatever bushings you decide to run with the trees normally in your raptor plate for your riser. Hope that helps and makes sense!
@paulson9616 Жыл бұрын
@Ridin Dad perhaps I am confusing you a bit with my previous statement with question. Thank you for replying. My current setup that I have now is with Lucky dave 10 inch riser. The polyethylene bushing is installed there. I am going with Raptor Plate by Krause, and with this setup, I can not linger use polyethylene bushing on top of the tree bc the raptor plate comes with their own solid bushing that mounts to tree. With that in mind, my existing lucky dave riser will bolt onto a raptor plate with no bushing but a solid bolt that will hold in place. My question is that would this be ok? I understand I do not have a Kraus isolated riser that includes internal bushing on top of the riser.
@RidinDad Жыл бұрын
I’m a little lost here. Why would your existing risers bolt up to a solid plate? The raptor plate has holes in the front and the back, in the front you would use the solid bushings to mounted to the triple tree, and in the back, you would use whatever bushings you would typically use for a normal riser, set up with your risers to mount them to the raptor plate.
@paulson9616 Жыл бұрын
@Ridin Dad I see, so you are saying that there are two sets of bushing on the raptor plate? One solid was located at a triple tree and one set where my riser gonna be secured to?
@RidinDad Жыл бұрын
Yes correct man. And if using Kris’s risers you use solid bushing both places like I did. But if you are using any other standard style riser, you just use whatever bushings you would typically use if you were bolting it directly to the triple tree but it’s just on the second set of holes on the raptor plate. I hope that helps clear things up for you, man!

Another question if you don’t mind, most people going for kraus setup they use the FM fly moto bar. Why you went for thrashin bar. Thanks

Few reasons…thrashin didn’t have that plate when I did this install. And the kraus has internal bushings that other risers don’t. Fm bar is nice but I had no issues with the stock style bar and I like 1 inch bars so I can use a variety of options. 7/8 clamping option from kraus would not allow me to use any other 1 inch bars
