by the way , when tai chi etc. seem stupid to exaggerate the falling back due to a little push etc then this is because the classics in tai chi , the analyses of the real books many do not understand, say, that it is great to excaggerate the falling back etc. in order to help the pusher or hitter feel how it is to hit. They all misunderstand a lot it seems, only I, the no. 1 champ cause never defeated or tested and so failed, know better...heheh.

maybe try and add that the outer circle of spectators may push the fighter back in, so the fighters are very focussed on not going towards the edges..... and it coud be used as a technique. It would be a unique selling point ;) just sayin

This Krav Maga (KM) fighter is an absolute beginner. He shows it so clearly that a big question mark pops up right away "what is this guy doing here?" E.g.: just to name a few evidences: he doesn't know the basic breathing or doesn't show how to control it, wrong stances or no stance at all, he doesn't know how to distribuiting he's weight on he's feet, no aplyes the low kicks defense, etc. He doesn't know nothing at all about Krav Maga. Everything is so miserable that it's a real shame to have the nerve to say he is a Krav Maga artist(?). Who named him KM artist, you or the one's who made the original video? What the kids who are watching this gonna think? I understand that you are a martial artist enthusiast and need to pop up some videos to keep your channel going, but i'm sure we all agree that it would be handy for you to have a few elementary notion about you're talking before coment this video or at least do some previous research, to avoid shame yourself, such as: 1.- Your coments showed that you're assuming these guys are in the same level of knowledge. With the minimal KM knowledge you would never say the things you say. The MMA guy has far more knowledge than the KM guy. Everybody sees that; 2.- One of the first principles of KM is "Defense and counter-attack simultaneasly" or in sequence (if not possible simultaneasly then first defend then counter-attack has quick as possible); 3.- The last place were you wanna be is on the floor. KM meant to be used in the battlefield, in the street, in a tight place or space (airplane, elevator, bathroom, car, etc.), you get the idea by now. So in this situation (being on the floor) you could be kicked in the head and loose senses, to say the least. That's why you will defend any try to trow you in the ground in the most dramatic way; 4.- Krav Maga it's a self defense system, it's not a martial art. It's designed to be used in close combat, for when your life it's on the line. To be used in situations with the most higher risk for your life, where you could loose your life. Not in competion where everything it's under control (e.g., you have a refere, rules, controled time in rounds, medic) to protect the competitors. In real life none of this aplyes; 5.- There are a lot of variants or branches of Krav Maga. Originally designed for military close combat by Imi Lichtenfeld for the IDF, it spread around the world. For a better or at least minimal understanding of KM, please try to contact KM federations in Israel or in Europe (FEKM), the one's who are closer to the Imi Lichtenfeld original idea. In North America, South America, etc., are variations or branches of KM, reason being they are by now too far from the original concept. Don't try the Wikipedia.; 6.- KZbin has a lot of quality KM videos (e.g., try Italian "Krav Maga Training" channel). I'm sure you will get a real idea what the KM is. All the best for you and for your channel. Keep the videos comming but with the minimal technical quality. Please keep in mind these videos are also watched by kids who are curious and want to start a martial art and/or a self defense system. Sorry for any English mistake.

Little confused by the Krav Maga guy; no blitzing gap closers, no close range elbows or knees, no instep kicks. He threw a couple of Muay Thai kicks, which are definitely frowned upon in traditional Krav; full chamber round houses expose your back, as we saw in the fight. Not something a modern military style art would generally encourage.

Another casual clown. A KM practitioner would not turn up for sport therefore avoiding taking damage. If they so happened to be in the cage then they would attack before the referee said 'fight' They'd use illegal strikes including groin, eyes, elbows to the back of the head. They'd grab the mike or camera from around the cage and use that as a weapon even using the ref as a barrier. They'd take their keys out of their pocket and jab it into the eyeballs of their opponent... Has it sunk in that you know nothing now ???

Krav Maga is a self defense system designed to defend from an attacking opponent. It's whole philosophy is based about defending (as far as civilian km goes). We do train people in sparring on a regular basis and basically one day a week do 90% of what people who do mma train, just less common (usually one day per week). So we do teach people how to attack and basic bjj, judo and boxing techniques.. that said, this is not what KM is about. KM is about resolving the situation in the least possible time with the least possible energy and leave the place asap. This usually means max damage(max agression) to places where martial arts teach you NOT to hit, in a way where a camera overlooking you and the person you are fighting concludes you are the victim and not the attacker. All in all, as someone who has years of experience in several martial arts such as Karate, Kick Box, Box, Judo, BJJ, MMA, Muai Thai, Wing Chun, etc.. i can tell you that for the average Joe, or the average Karen.. no other system of training can bring these individuals quicker to a basic standard of being able to asses the situation and avoid it, and as a last resort use some basic stuff to hurt the person attacking you and get away. The whole point of KM is to get away from a person threatening you with as little as harm possible to both you and them and get back to safety, whatever that means in a given situation. Then call the police and let them deal with the rest.

It's not krav maga if there are rules. MMA style competition really has nothing to do with actual combat. Gracie style ground work is what wins in MMA, and there's just no place in real combat for rolling around on the ground. There's really no comparison between training for combat and training for the MMA game that sort of looks like combat but really has nothing to do with it. I mention this in case anyone is interested in self-defense and getting the idea that krav maga is ineffective.

Krav Maga is Krav Maga, with or without rules. A punch is a punch, a kick is a kick. A trained fighter can do what Krav Maga self defense practioners do, with more power, percision, speed and reflexes MMA is combat. Fighting has everything to do with combat. No military martial art is as good as real martial arts. All military arts are shortened and requires less and looser technique. A 2 year white belt in BJJ, will be able to see that and use the proper and tight technique to win against military martial arts. If a special forces soldier can lose to a 2 year white belt in BJJ, that should tell you that real martial arts are alot better. You are better off training to fight, then adding dirty shots, situational awareness, weapons and multiple attacker training. Even self defense Krav Maga is better than the military art. Self defense Krav guys typically spar too and practice proper technique. Already better

Bear in mind that it was an MMA fight. Despite the commentator sneering at the weak, lazy, telegraping, scared, prey, hurt, and tired Krav maga guy - he still went the distance with the MMA guy - both on the feet and on the deck. Krav Maga training is not about this type of scenario, at all. And it's not about being polished or technically sound. It's about a safe exit. In a later DefendFC fight the same Krav Maga guy defeats a very capable boxer via ground & pound stoppage.

Krav and and MMA are not comparable because they have different intentions and goals. I'm going to say it right now. An MMA guy is going to be better as a fighter, all things being equal, to a Krav Maga guy, especially in a 1 on 1 fight in a ring with rules. This is what MMA is designed for, Krav Maga is designed to teach the fundamentals of fighting and to put them into a self defence context. If you are someone who wants yo be good st fighting someone in a ring, do Muay Thai, BJJ or MMA, if you just want to learn to defend yourself from people who aren't serious trained combat athletes who have done the kind of brutal training necessary to get good at fighting, do Krav. Ideally, you would cross train in both, because krav covers gaps that MMA doesnt cover when it comes to self defence such as how to deal tactically with multiple opponents, opponents who are armed, conflict communication and threat assessment.

MMA is better for fighting untrained people. It makes no sense to train something that doesn't work on aggressive and athletic assailants that want to hurt you. MMA will prepare you far more than Krav, when fighting someone with high energy. You can not expect your opponent to be a non fighter or to have no skills. You have no idea what he knows.

Take it from someone who trained in real choy lay fut for two years: krav maga is a joke. You can get in good physical shape doing it; could even learn how to beat up someone who doesnt know how to fight, but in terms of true martial arts, its..nothing. They don't teach anything about proper footwork or even how to throw a proper strike. They just teach you drills to repeat, during with you throw your best version of whatever strike. I kept tripping people and accidentally kneeing groins because my kung fu footwork was so much more technically effective than the krav maga. I accidentally grazed the instructor's balls and he told me he'd hit me in the face if I did it again. Real disciplined guy, definitely someone I'd want teaching my children. So, all in all, with the "art" and the instructor in my town, I was extremely unimpressed.

Props to the Krav Maga guy - it looked like he's done some stand up sparring. Probably touch or semi-contact only as he didn't seem to know how to check the leg kicks. Fair play to him testing himself. I wonder if he learns from this: if you don't know how to grapple then don't fight, full stop. The MMA guy could have won the fight at several moments if his submission game was just a little tighter because Krav Maga guy was literally a fish out of water once they clinched. I'm a BJJ guy now in my older years but I started off doing Kung Fu and then Muay Thai. I always get infuriated with people commenting on the butt scooting etc... that you see in sports jiu jitsu. Of course that stuff is silly but equally that's just 1% of what you learn and no BJJ guy in their right mind would sit down and butt scoot in an actual fight. Bottom line is, if you don't know how to grapple then you have no business fighting. Of course BJJ guys should also do a bit of boxing training if they're concerned about being well rounded martial artists but from my experience it's WAY easier to get somewhat competent in striking vs being competent in grappling. Give you 6 months and you shouldn't be flinching anymore, you should know some basic combos and defence. A 6 month white belt in grappling on the other hand is still pretty useless on the ground unless they have huge physical advantages like size, athleticism.

MMA VS Krav Maga= Fight for show VS fight for life. No comparison. A krav maga fighter would never be allowed to use all their weapons in a show fight. In real life Krav maga wins. hands down.

I have done Krav Maga for many years, so I am a big fan but I am going to be fully honest because unless the Krav person also trains in a sports combat art he is going to struggle against a trained combat athlete in something like MMA. Just because MMA doesn't allow eye gouges and throat strikes doesnt mean that the MMA guy doesnt know what they are and how to use them. The MMA will also have faster reflexes and be able to dish out and take punishment because they do lots of hard sparring and if they have done it for a while cage matches. A combat sports athlete is going to be a formidable opponent for anyone who is not also a sports combat athlete. That said, Krav was designed in the first place to train soldiers in the fundamentals of hand to hand combat and to put the techniques into a different context than sport fighting. It is also designed to teach people who aren't necessarily interested in becoming the ultimate fighting badass or who for health, age or other reasons cannot cope with the hard sparring and cage matches which are part of doing MMA, these people just want to learn how handle themselves against lesser opponents or even better yet, avoid the fight and leave safely in the first place. These comparisons between MMA and Krav are dum and missing the point.

Krav Maga will always lose against a trained MMA fighter. Dirty shots are not weapons. If you can't land a punch on the guy, what makes you think you'll land an eye gouge or a groin kick? A proper rear naked choke won't even allow you to do any of that
@fricknfishn5153
@fricknfishn5153 9 ай бұрын
LOL! @@anti1training Your reply assumes there is not a defense against a rear naked choke when in fact that is a low level defense for Krav. One must practice eye gauges and groin kicks just like one must practice MMA techniques. The difference is street fighting for your life VS fighting for sport in a ring. Ill keep my Krav thank you very much! BTW, bbj, Mui Tai, Wrestling, and Boxing, among other disciplines, are all skills taught in a good Krav school.

@@fricknfishn5153 Krav defense doesn't work against trained fighters at all. No one chokes you standing still. A BJJ practitioner will always choke out a Krav guy because Krav guys don't have real choke defense. And military Krav doesn't train those arts you mention. It uses pieces of those arts in a less effective way. And most self-defense Krav schools don't teach you to fight trained fighters. It makes no sense to train o fight someone who can't defend themselves. Because in real life, not everyone is an easy opponent. It makes more sense to train to fight trained fighters because untrained people will be a lot easier to fight, and you'll have a lot more control. You will struggle against an untrained person who is aggressive and more athletic than you if you only have the average Krav training. Would you rather struggle or stop the fight easily. Choke defense is not low-level defense. It's very difficult to get out of a good rear naked choke. I want you to go to a Jiu-jitsu school and roll with them. They'll let you for free. You will not win against a white belt with 1 year of experience and above. A trained fighter can do the same dirty shots, but faster, more power, reflexes and percision. A Krav guy could never beat a fighter, without using weapons.

@@rodneypeter3578 then how would you know it works? If you cant get the hours in aiming for sensitive areas in a repeatable, trainable training method what provides the reflexes and muscle memories needed to land these things? And what of the followup? How would you guarantee that pain provides compliance without positional dominance as a backup plan? Pain isn't real structural debilitating damage it's the nerves firing signals to the brain to avoid further damage. If you're really training for the "streetz" where people can be under the influence of medication that slows down or even negates these pain responses youve effectively wasted the little windoe of time you have. Not saying these things dont work, but that they work best in conjunction to knowing how to FIGHT. Jabs, kicks, takedowns, frames , clinch, sweeps, sprawls, slips, blocks, RUNNING. All these things can be rehearsed trained and pressure tested. Eyejabs and groinstrikes can, but you'd be lying if you said its standard issue that they actually try it out in a resisting, trianable spar. Most of the time its drills, which are good but doesnt get people used to the idea of resistance.

This is a stupid premise. I’m surprised that the MMA guy didn’t submit the Krav Maga fighter in the first round. Krav Maga is not a system for sport, for points, for submission. It is not that type of fighting system. It is a no rules, real world, self-defense system. If this was a street fight, someone trained in Krav would have the advantage. I didn’t see a single bite, groin strike, or eye gouge, all staples of Krav. I didn’t see any weapons. That is how you train and Krav, in addition to traditional strikes. Frankly, the fact that the krav fighter went 2 1/2 rounds with the “MMA fighter” in a match with rules, should be embarrassing to the MMA fighter.

krav maga guy is a little loose, you are always suppose ot be protecting your kneck in krav maga, lowering guard is a nono unless you are actively blocking. The kick to the balls was representative though. Also Krav maga is generally a stand up technique unless you are attacking, the idea of taking it to the ground is not that representative of Krav Maga. Like once he is there a choke out etc.. would be the thing, the ground grapling is a little unrepresentative as the guy would be eaten. He is holding back as that dude would have like 40 hammer strikes to the back of his head and neck if the krav maga was actually engaging technique. oh the green dude is krav maga.. yeah.. when grey was down would have face stomped the guy a few times. yeah krav maga guy green is way too passive, not real krav maga. Green guy is not krav maga form.. sorry totally fake video. Kicks are almost always rooted, a stalled side kick is so not krav maga. No rotational movement on striking etc... would not say this guy has krav maga form. HIs hands are at his hips, this video is a joke.
