I know this is a different take, I just think it would have been cooler if they just did a sort of retelling of the short story "The Deadliest Game." An experienced hunter, Kraven, is cast away, and is found by this really rich dude on his private island, the man is former military general who is also a hunting enthusiast. The guy tells Kraven about his boredom in hunting animals and desires a true challenge, hunting humans. The rest of the movie is this survival cat and mouse chase where Kraven is forced to out wit the general and his henchmen while trying to survive in the jungle. It would also end with Karven killing the man and becoming the Kraven from the comics.

Clearing all the confusion of the hole Kravens a human debate...Kraven is NOT an ordinary human and if youve read the comics youd know, everything that happened in the trailer with the lion happened in the comics the only difference is that they never explained it in the comics it just continued on after the lion tore him up and he randomly was able to control animals have enhanced speed and stamina....which we all comic fans chalked up to his experience from fighting in the wild, but they have just confirmed the true nature, nothing more nothing less, it was still implyed he had powers in the comics, including- Enhanced Stamina- Enhanced Speed- Communication with animals- Enhanced Strength- and im almost positive in one of the comics he himself turned into a lion but i dont belive it was canon.🎉 Finally i should add Kraven did use potions as well thats why in the comics he was able to stay so fit and young even during his old aging
