I agree with everything Smuv said 100% I don’t care about a ring, got married in my living room (it was beautiful), and as far as finances I don’t need to share long as them bills paid and I’ll be there when you need and have been!

🗣️SMUV IS TALKING THAT TALK Had that talk with myself and had to present it to her. I wasn’t ready for her. I wasn’t about to keep it going either. Wasn’t gonna give her the opportunity in the future to call me anything other than a stand up guy

What I don't like is grouping all women in a certain category that we don't know how to treat our men and that's absolutely not true. A lot. of us (women) know how to treat our men.
@KeepGoingBreaux2 ай бұрын
Most don't though & that's why we see the community the way it is so we as men speak in generalities to get to the point not bc we think every woman is the same. All 3 of them are married I think they would say their views on their women are different than the majority but in times the stats be higher than you (women) are willing to accept
@sonjidixon1482 ай бұрын
@@KeepGoingBreaux I have only seen great marriages in my life starting with my parents who has been married for over 58 years and many other family members who are still married and both are still in love. Maybe I'm the exception to the rules, but treating each other in a precious, respectable and special way is all I see with the people I love.

@@sonjidixon148Me also. From great grandparents, grandparents and parents I've seen great marriages plus my grandmother's and mother told me the truth about marriage and they are generally happy. When I hear men and women speak in generalities In my opinion it makes the person speaking look bad because it seems they're speaking from personal experience of making numerous bad choices
@Wopkage2 ай бұрын
@@sonjidixon148You realize you’re in the minority? The majority of marriages end in divorce and the rest are littered with unhappy people. Most women don’t know how to treat a man, because society does not put an emphasis on truly caring for a man. Just caring when he can do for you

I love when men pop they shit. Especially a black man! Because so many times we see and hear of women who have their lives together and dissed for not wanting to interact with a man that isn’t on their level. It’s refreshing to see men who understands this logic.

It always starts with the men! If the real black men held their own accountable, cut off the shenanigans, walk away from the ones who don't meet the standards, we could heal the entire community but we take so long to get up we start flexing our power in negative ways when we finally have the options we always wanted vs being the change to show the youth what it supposed to look like

The conversation about the $40,000 teacher missed a point: Can the teacher handle that his wife is a driven career woman who will make significantly more than him? This is another reason why certain wonen will hold out for a certain type of man thats similar to them concerning career and finances so they dont have to deal with hurt egos, etc But they are correct that you shouldn't try to force someone in a different direction that doesn't fit them so they need to move on.

I agree! Both the ladies are in a position to elevate the WNBA with presence, pay, endorsement, etc. But it has to be a team effort, not selfish tacktics.

I definitely disagree that single people cannot give good advice. Life and lived experiences always are the best teachers and to have a lived experience doesn't mean it needs to be one that you're living in currently. And let's please bury the narrative that single people are jealous of coupled people. I love my coupled friends and want to see them happy and together so why would I give them advice that is detrimental to their love and relationships.
