What starts to get upsetting is when your stat windows will tell you one thing and the stat description will tell you one thing, but functionally it doesn't do that. I really hope this game is different and you can build a wizard with an agility build, but it's quite possible that agility does absolutely nothing once the game recognizes that it's being applied to a wizard.

A lot of the mesmerize skills state they have a level cap in the spell description, or a level threshold such as works on enemies up to 5 levels higher than you.

What a stat does according to a definition or poem is one thing, but in an mmo, agility could increase coin drops. So imagining what it does, and how it exactly functions, can differ.

the devs need to be upfront and they should make all those details public, it will decrease the drama in the community and will allow us to play better, the secrecy here is pointless i had people in my group saying they should stack up CON and STR on a monk while completely ignoring DEX, i told them it is was not the right way to build their char but it devolved into a stupid argument

Melee defense is atrocious in this game. Ac, blocks, parry, dodge barely, if ever mitigate anything. On top of that melee toons deal 1/4 the damage that casters deal. What this means is that melee toons become very underpowered as they deal poor damage while t Being paper thin. The only mitigation in this game are heals and absorbs. Everything else is very poorly made for melee, and you will see that casters can 1 to 3 shot regular mobs, while those same ones will 1 tone shot melees

Melee are much more gear dependent than casters for sure.

Enemies dodge, parrying and blocking spell is silly imo. Gonna have to bring it up with Joppa. Dodging a fire ball makes sense, but parrying one doesn't. Especially in PvE. Changing this may make melee less viable in PvP when that server goes live though.

gameplay in a game > realism. it absolutely does make sense when you consider actual balance and design of a game
