Yup. Lots of announcements and press releases, but this was the only one that actually showed us anything useful. I do wish they had a real laptop slot, where it's held up off the bottom of the bag. It's less critical than in the past, but still something I'd expect at this price point. That said, it probably won't stop me from getting one. I was going to get an R20, but the waterproofing in a bag that retains the Kriega style and fit is worth it.

really struggling to find a backpack that fits my needs, i really like the look of the straps on the kriega, they look perfect for heavy loads. but im struggling to find anything like this that has a laptop compartment, specifically a pretty heavy 17" gaming laptop

Hi, does the R16 accommodate the 16 inch MacBook Pro with a protective sleeve? I'm planning on getting one of these for daily commute and I use a 16 inch Macbook Pro with a protective sleeve, .

Very nice video, guys! Pretty sure you're still the only channel that's reviewed these yet. Maybe I missed it, but where does the hydration bladder go? I know Kriega usually has a hanger or pocket of some sort in the main compartment. Thanks very much! 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Hi Ben, thanks for the feedback! I did miss out the hydration packs. If you peel back the white waterproof liner inside the bag there is the velcro hooks for the bladder, then you can run the tubing to come out on either shoulder strap. - Tom 🏍️💨

very helpful, thank you. My hesitation is that they do not provide a designated laptop compartment (maybe cause they are not laptop bags after all) and something to organize your daily things, like phone, wallet etc, at least i could not see that form your presentation. So everything that you want to carry with you have to go loose to the small pouch (r16) or to the front compartment (r22). The r20 used to have on the front compartment a small pouch too is that not there anymore ?

That is correct, there are no smaller pockets to stow away loose items apart from that internal one on the R16. Kriega do have organisers which can be purchased separately like the 'Kube' range and harness pockets but you could find similar items to do the job elsewhere too. The main advantage with the Kriega stuff is its durability and comfort when worn on (and off) the bike. - Tom 🏍🔥

As the owner of R30 ( which I use for long range ) but also going to office occasionally ( working from home 50% ) not having compartment allows me to organize it the way I want ( yes, it is all purpose bag ). I uses laptop sleeve / organizer o help organize the inside.

You can definitely use them all the time. They are designed with comfort in mind and they will be a go-to backpack for most people. - Tom 🏍️💨

I bought an R25. Nice backpack but made for little people. I wear a 56/ 58 jacket and this backpack is useless to me. Too small and not enough adjustment. First backpack I have ever owned where this is a problem.
