In the Japanese version instead of "Now that you're done sharing your feelings, can we fight" Roshi instead asks why Man Wolf doesn't just date a wolf girl, to which Man Wolf angrily replies " I HATE HAIRY GIRLS!! Cute human girls are what I like!", "My, you certainly are picky" Roshi responds. No clue why this, and so many other lines were changed in the dub

Seems like they tried to cut down on the amount “sexist”/raunchy lines in the English dub, I’d assume it had a lot to do to with tv rating and what networks would and wouldn’t allow. If you’re ever curious to get some insight, you can find videos here in KZbin of old cartoons networks and Nickelodeon show creators making videos sharing the notes they get from the networks about stuff they need to change and the sheer ridiculousness of some of the request and the both humorous & frustrating back & firths they’d have with network executives
