Man, Martin Axenrot will be sorely missed. I think Opeth's music expanded when he became a member. Great cover man, this couldn't have been an easy one from a drum master like Martin. You pick some of the most complicated drummers to cover. Awesome.

Honestly, I saw opeth live for the release of their newest album and much of their music is more on the prog-rock side of things. Obviously they are still playing their old songs but I think it would be a weird pick to bring someone like Krimh on to play for them while the band is much less focused on their metal past. Possibly though, haha

@@lucasbrucas9632 Axenrot was playing straight death metal before his stint with Opeth, which included 'Heritage'. So it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for a drummer like Krimh to join the ranks, rather than make a more "prog-minded" drummer try to play the older death metal stuff. Jussayin

My favorite tune by opeth that and face of Melinda... actually all of "still life" hits deep with me ive said goodbye to opeth these days but hold them in high regard and respect them still for being themselves im just not into the newer direction but I have my classics
@fcamiola Жыл бұрын
Ill never place Sorcerer or Pale Communion on the level of Still Life, Ghost Reveries, Deliverance, etc however they are still worthy. I am a true Opeth head as I essentially LOVE all of it. My biggest gripe is the drum production on Orchid and Morningrise...way toooooo much reverb and just sounds....bad. Musically amazing however. PS...In Cauda Venenum has grown soooo much....its unbelievable really. A masterpiece. Worth another 10 spins if you still aren't on board. Try it again if you're feeling it. Cheers.
@sabero566827 күн бұрын
Still Life is the greatest album ever released for a reason. The prog rock has grown on me, I transitioned from it to Opeth I can transition back a step, but at the same time the death metal with juicy bits of prog rock in it is what made me fall in love with this band, and I'm glad to see them return to their roots. I never thought 2024 would bring a death metal concept album from Opeth, but here we are.
