this was my exact reaction, but with way more crying, i have this best friend who i ALWAYS played videogames with, we basically stumbled on this game, and just one word could describe it, glorious. This is THE game that made me love fighting games, still to this day, there is no version of king i like to play more than the CVS 2 version, oh god the music, this is the tru love makin starting to play as soon as the announcer says ''THIS IS GONNA BE A MATCH TO REMEMBER''. I cried, there is no way around it

When MvC was announced I thought oh man I feel like a CvSNK compilation could happen. Then they announce it the next direct. Capcom vs SNK 3 is 100% happening now. This plus the SNK dlc in SF6 all but confirms it.

Next step will likely be Street Fighter characters as DLC in City of the Wolves. I have no doubt CVS3 is in development by Capcom maybe with some SNK input. I dont think SNK has the resources to make one due to not only CotW but Art of Fighting 4 and a SamSho RPG both already in the pipeline (plus KOF16 after that if they want to get it out in time for PS6 launch window).

2 totally different styles of game. MvC2 is wacky, characters outside the genre, very simple mechanics but fun as all hell CvS2 is serious and deep, the Groove system provides alot of room for experimentation, its basically Street Fighter vs KOF with a few other genre specific characters. I know Maximilian wants a CVS3 to widen the roster to include the Dante's and the Megamans and the Metal Slug characters, I 100% disagree with him, I want it to be a serious fighting game, I want the ratio system to return, plus 1v1 and 3v3 modes like the home versions of CVS2, I want it to take some mechanics from SF6, some from KOF and maybe some from CotW for a new Groove System. I want a serious deep fighting game with the greatest roster in genre history.

Project Justice. I. Am. CRYING. This just became a first day purchase for me. Capcom vs SNK is great, glad they finally got everything settled (I assume) so they can bring that back, but Project Justice has so many memories for me. Such a fun game...maybe there's hope for Rival Schools to be brought back for play in the future.
