In our last Saigon street food vlog, local tour guide, Happy introduces me to the Hu Tieu Nam Vang, a dry noodle broth that draws its influences from Khmer, Cantonese and Vietnamese culinary styles. 9:51 I didn’t know i was consuming something in Vietnamese style the entire time at home. So some fried rice with an Half fry egg on top with some previous night prawn curry (No coconut but tamarind based) reheated as gravy ❤❤❤❤. I can definitely understand that Happy dance 😂😂😂😂

Good morning dear Kripal - Sorry couldn’t watch your vlog yesterday as we had a family function . Oh wow you are having Vietnam’s popular noodle soup Hu tieu Nam Vang. Great observation on the broth being a tad sweet as compared to the other noodle soup you had in Vietnam 🇻🇳. ❤The happy sauce seems to be a good hit with the meat delicacies of the Soup . Time for the classic broken rice - Cơm tấm . Your food guide is giving clear cut instructions on what and how each dish needs to be relished 👌 Ha ha that was a good happy dance 🕺🏼 Looks like the addition of the chilli to the rice literally gave you a pleasant shock 👍 The finale is a Fried dumpling with Chinese egg custard ( with orange juice) 😋 Oh wow the Bun Bo dish looks delicious 🤤 Special thanks to Happy and his partner to make it a memorable Ho Chi min city food tour for you and for us . In my view the tour guide gave you some story that is not correct. Hu Tieu Nam Vang is basically Mekong style Hu Tieu. The beauty of Com Tam is not the meat but it’s rice itself. I have enjoyed it simply with fish sauce or at home just with chilli and soy sauce
