i played against a terrible opponent.... he played his Queen directly on turn 7 and i draw her in the second last turn... i won, he just killed everything he got... never touched the brawl since than, 1 game 1 win, terrible HS player ar terrible

I'm hoping for a brawl where you have a small health pool (maybe 10 hp) but have to be killed 3 times and each time you die your hero and deck is changed and you get a new starting hand but the board stays the same. Maybe you'd even get to make the 3 decks you'd play instead of them being rolled at random. I dunno. I like the idea of a mini-tournament in a brawl.

I am the only one that actually liked this taver brawl? PS: during the first match at 4:30 the opponent should have used the hero power to get the queen between the 2 bishops and a paw on it's place, he would have killed many more pieces

I like it as well, if only because all my opponents suck. As soon as I played this in the adventure, I learned the importance of getting those diagonal attacks in for max efficiency. And yeah, coining out the rook isn't the catch-all strategy Kripp seems to think it is. White actually has just as good a chance of winning.

This Brawl takes more strategy than playing Aggro Shaman; I think that's why some people don't like it.

This Tavern Brawl shows people that they aren't really good at strategy and are just good at using net decks. This one is very easy to win if you just think ahead and plan out your moves. Curvestone has reduced people's sense of strategic values

Also I dont really agree with kripp with what he says saying "the rook is the most important piece" I would argue, ironically, the pawns are, to me they're the bread and butter of the brawl and they help control the board, widdling down you opponents cards while keeping your big ones safe Its sort of like real chess where even though the queen and rook are amazing pieces, the pawns are your bread and butter, they are the driving force which allows you to keep control over the board while also potentially becoming the most powerful piece in the entire game

starting as 2nd is better because of the auto attack mechanic; this way you can put out two pawns in the first turn and get the double attack on the lone white one, its a huge advantage from the start

I was white probably 75% of the time and I rarely lost. I found that whoever got a bishop out first had a huge advantage. If you get your rook out first you end up losing it and hurting for it in the late game.

Loved this brawl because there is just strategy, plain and simple. played 6 matches, won 3 with whites and 2 with black, just lost one with whites because I didn't draw a 3 mana piece (tower or bishop) to turn 3 and I had to put down 3 pawns instead.

They don't get how simple it is to win and it probably makes them mad. There's a limited number of possibilities and when you figure them out, you win against anyone who makes a slightest mistake. I won around 40 games, I'm using them to farm gold now. And just to add, I started playing hearthstone only a week ago.(no legion cardback, RIP in pepperoni)

It's kind of weird, while it requires thought, it can be frustrating if you don't draw correctly, and 10 life is pretty low, and also games can snowball really hard, if you're losing you have a hard time coming back. Another reason it's that it kind of doesn't really feel much like Heartstone. I thought it was Average, a larger health pool and maybe some new pieces would have helped a lot.

It's french; "en passant". It's a chess term.

Shaman Specifically, it's a move only pawns can do, where they move into the spot another pawn skipped over on their first move. The French means "in passing," and refers to the enemy pawn passing your own. I think it's a relatively recent addition, ver. 2.13 in the 1200s, or something.
