Exist ence If you think about it the only things that punish DWDL and don't punish Ysera are like Shadow Word Death and not much else. And I think there are none that punish DWDL and not Alexstrasza - though ofc Alex's battlecry comes in handy at times, it's worth trying as its deathrattle is significant tempo and it's very strong with N'Zoth. I easily justify not using DWDL if you remove the N'Zoth part - I think this deck would work just fine with a more classic tempo warrior lategame set over the cairne-sylvanas-loot hoarder-n'zoth (rafaam/varian, grommash maybe, ragnaros).

Been running a Reno/N'Zoth Secret Paladin with a startling amount of success lately. XD When 1 Mysterious Challenger guarantees a Reno will go off, you can transition from anti-aggro to anti-control pretty well. :)

I made a Pirate Dragon deck today, 'cos of this video and I have lost 1 ladder and 1 unranked game with me having a cold deck and opponent had a perfect run... mine is kinda more aggro (face/tempo) than this one. usually a win before we reach 10 mana vs ladder decks (Basic Zoo, Tempo, Control) from rank 9 to 7 and full stars. And few wins in unranked when I was testing... will play more tomorrow and see if It will ride me past rank 5 to get my new record in ladder (don't play that many hours a week).

I get that the point of the deck is to mix all these archetypes, but I think it'd be a lot better if it didn't have pirates. Dragons and Nzoth are very similar in their playstyles, while pirates are a bit unrelated. Also having those 6 additional slots in the deck would go a long way to improving the consistency of the dragon and deathrattle synergies in the deck.

Virtually any decent late-game Dragon substitutes for Ysera; Chromaggus or Nefarian can be especially effective if you want late-game card advantage. As for Malkorok, Gorehowl is a solid and consistent replacement.

Suggested tweaks -1 Harvest Golem +1 Twilight Guardian I want to suggest more, but it is almost impossible to cut out cards without dropping a theme. Harvest Golem, is one of the only cards you can drop from the deck without ruining a theme. Overall, I do like the deck, I just wish you were Greedy Enough to N'zoth Deathwing Dragonlord.

You can replace ysera with nefarian, malkorek with grom or sth like that, but I think alex is hard to replace because you need a dragon and additional healing for this slot. This means you have to use more than 1 card, so you have to take out sth else. There is no replacement for N`zoth I guess.

Chillmaw is kinda antisynergy with N'zoth though. I'd consider basically any high value legendary (Ragnaros for example) to be a good fit, personally, or something like a bloodhoof brave or second twilight guardian just to smooth out your early game.

Can someone explain why corrupted healbot is used at all? I get that it has like 1 more stat than most drops in it's mana cost, but restoring that much health on death seems like the cost far outweighs the benefit.

The deathrattle doesn't matter early and you want it cause it's an ok dearthrattle which is pretty rare since most of them suck so you can summon it with nzoth

Because you can summon it in N'Zoth.It used to be in N'Zoth Pally lists where it 2 of them would hide behind Tirion and would reck the opponent next turn.Generally the card is quite bad and if it would be a 6/7 it would be way more insane

Cause its great at board control, 6/6 is nice stats at 5 mana. You only use it to go face when they dont have minions or they have spent all of their answers. U're not trying to race with it, just to control the board so u can comfortably win at the late game.

Habit, I imagine. It allows you to draw a card from battle rage (hero now damaged) and you lose less to Alexstraza. Also makes shield slam better. And there are no downsides. I think that's all.

Someone finally figured out how to merge all of this together lol...best deck yet! Malkorak is a joke. You need arcanite reaper. Also, why is no one using charge? It is actually really good in a full face pirate deck. If you can coin out axe with upgrade on turn 2 and have two dread corsairs in hand...that is the best turn 2 play you can do ever.
