They banned Hamuul because of this. This was definitely a broken interaction, but apart from this, Hamuul really helped improve the game as a catch-up mechanic. The game is dramatically worse without him.

Hello there, Krip. That was a pretty good Eudora run, and its pretty crappy they removed Hamuul because of the new buddies :(. Anyway,Can you do a Lord Barov run if you get the chance? I have played with the guy like 7 times since patch release and 6/7 i hit 1st place while the "bad" run of those 7 i reached 3rd place. He seems pretty blatantly overpowered with his new buddy, since you can use the doubled gold to go straight to tier 6 while almost everyone else isn't even tier 4 while curbing tempo(basically when i get his buddy, i upgrade right away to tier 4 and next turn i upgrade straight to 6). The only time i've lost badly (the afromentioned 3rd place) was because i got wrecked by Illidan lol. TLDR: Lord Barov seems ridiculously overpowered with his new buddy, so i think it would be a good chance to show exactly why and hey, its kinda funny the first few times to stomp the rest because they are at tier 3-4 while you already reached tier 6.
