I’m not trying to start an argument here but I don’t like they way this comic handled it Spending two strips making a meta-commentary about how the red soul isn’t determination feels unnecessary, and even if it is, the arguments they use aren’t concrete. For example, “All human souls have determination” firstly, Determination (DT) and Determination (character trait) aren’t confirmed to be the same thing. One is a physical substance that Alphys named and the other is a state of mind. Secondly, if you choose to ignore that and say they are the same thing, then are you saying not all humans have patience? Or bravery? Or perseverance? We’ve never seen other humans in game, so it’s possible, but I seriously doubt a human soul has to be that color for them to be capable of having that trait. Imo, the soul color represents their most primary trait of the seven

@@Churromans it's not exactly a meta commentary about the red soul, more of one about the community debates about the red soul(just like the page about frisk's age). And No, determination isn't a character trait, as it's not unique to anyone one character, patience requires having determination, bravery is also a form of determination, so is kindness integrity justice and perseverance, and even monsters have it, which is how undyne melts. And considering that last fact, dt the substance and determination the state of mind seem to be interlinked. This doesn't invalidate your conclusion that the color represents the main trait. And the most consistent trait for the red soul seems to be the player
