Not only is Kris a great songwriter and wonderful singer, but he is a gracious and humble man. He lives in Hawaii with his wife of 38 years, Lisa Meyers. My cousin and her husband recently moved to Hawaii, when she spotted Kris and his wife strolling hand in hand in a shopping district. My cousin had missed out on meeting Kris to get an autograph after a concert in the mid seventies, so she could not resist going up to him and telling him her story of that night so long ago - and how much she had always admired him. After chatting a bit, Kris and his wife invited my cousin and her husband to go to lunch with them, where the four of them chatted like “old friends” for two hours! My cousin has a lot of photos from that very special day, and an autographed restaurant menu. My cousin is still on “Cloud 9”!

I was just an12 year old girl living in Florala Alabama. Kris was to sing at a church one Wednesday night at a small church service a mile across the Florida state line. My mom wanted to go here him sing but she had to go work a sewing factory on first thing the next morning. I always went anywhere ahe went. But we didn't get to.....I've loved him over the years....he is 83 now .....sing on Kris...we still love you!!!
