Hi, Tina - it's been a long time. So glad you're still posting - and still enjoying "the man". Was lucky enough to see him in Glasgow on what would turn out to be his last Scottish gig - last UK/European tour, in fact. Bought a signed playlist, as I already have all the cds on sale that night - and more! Thousands of voices joining in "Sunday Morning Comin' Down" made him very emotional. Hope you're surviving these strange times. Take care - and keep listening. Linda

Hello Tina. I realize you haven't been commented to since the loss of Kris. I feel for you as I do all his fans and family. I am having a serious hard time accepting it, even in knowing it was inevitable. I love to celebrate all that he was and all that he gave... I'm just greedy, I could never get enough😢😢. I will both mourn and celebrate the presence that he was. He was the better part of my entire adulthood of entertainment for 50 years. I was hooked early on. I want to let you understand that its possible you and I feel a lot the same way about his passing. It is with much bittersweet memory and love we say goodbye to him...for now.

Damn why are people saying it's sad because i'm celebrating this man's career and just learned another report that he was also a golden Glove Boxer! This walking Legend at 85 has had so many achievements that I would be too damn proud to give Kris an official UT Championship Football with all final scores in a Tee Martin title run! Take a bow Kris for one kick ass Legendary career and need an address to mail this UT game ball with you being a humble spectator at games during daughters time at UT! It's Football Time In Tennessee, go to Calhoun's on the river !

Thank you for uploading so much good quality KK content. Could you please tell me where you found the interview from? I found one part about the Isle of Wright concert, and a second part where he talks about having to fire Zal. I have listened to KK since I was 11 years old, and saw him in concert twice in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The first time when he had cleaned up his addictions. At that concert he sang the song that recreated the truck stop scene from John Steinbeck’s great book The Grapes of Wrath, but it would be many years later when I read it. When reading American author Faulkner, As I Lay Dying, I remembered the line in Loving Her Was Easier. The more I read great literature, the more I find references in KK songs. The second tome was in an intimate room. I think he had his grand daughter with him. He had a little trouble with his timing, so we gently clapped along. He told us if the beat was off a little bit, it was him, not us. So we stopped clapping, and just respectfully enjoyed him and his songs. I still have the first album he put out, which belonged to my sister. I have listened to it since 1971. Thank you for being a wonderful fan, and presenting a place where his fans can gather. I hope his health is holding up.

Thank you for commenting! Glad you like my channel on Kris. I think that was his daughter Kelly who sang with him in that concert 😉 She was born in Nov 1990. Which interview do you mean? Maybe the one with Kris and Donnie Fritts? That one was an extra on the Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid DVD. Keep watching 😊 kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2G1hI17erSDZ68

Thank you biggestkkfan and I just want to show my appreciation for a Walking Legend that I've followed for a very long time! I didn't know he boxed until today or did I know he was attached to an Army Ranger unit and know he was a Captain pilot I love story about how he wrote Me & Bobbie McGee! Rolling Stone, Magazine beat writer had him ranked at #87 best songwriters out of 100 and posted him with telling him we were two continents off with me having him at #5 ever! They had Bob Dylan #1 and I'll pick Merle Haggard all day at #1

Hello, I have not seen any kris movie but I'd like to. Has he ever made an old western one? If so can you recommend me some? Thank you
@biggestkkfan15063 жыл бұрын
He played in a few western movies. He played an awesome Billy the kid in Patt Garrett and Billy the kid (1973). The Tracker (1988) is also a good one. Outlaw Justice (1999) is with Kris and Willie Nelson. The last days of Frank and Jesse James (1986) is with Kris and Johnny Cash in leading roles. Stagecoach (1986) is with the four Highwaymen, but only fans will really enjoy the fun the four had by shooting this kind of western movie. Heaven's gate (1980) is remarkable, but not really a western movie. One of MY favorite movies with him is Miracle in the wilderness (1992). A must see of course is A star is born (1976). I also love Wooly boys (2002). And his first great movie Cisco Pike (1971). I can also recommend Flashpoint (1984) and Welcome home (1989). Of course, Songwriter (1984) with Kris and Willie Nelson is a great movie. Knights (1993) is a little strange one, but I really enjoyed it. Some say, Convoy (1978) is kind of a western movie, but there you'll have trucks instead of horses lol. These ones might be a good start 😉

Kris I'm shipping your UTENN Vols football for the huge undeniable Iconic brilliant composer /songwriting genius that you are and there's something about a Sunday, that makes you go to church with Connie Smith! Why Me Lord! Kris it's an easy answer! Pray to the Lord, Jesus Christ to forgive you of sins and that's a major fact along with recognizing he, the Lord Jesus Christ is the Almighty superior power on Earth and in the great heavens above! It's FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE, GO VOLS & ENJOY 1997 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME BALL! Your retirement as a hugely successful Iconic career deserves much more but it's my token of appreciation! It's sentimental because your daughter is a UT grad Don't blame me if she strong arms you taking it from you! Later Highwayman! You're fckg AWESOME!!
