Kris kristofferson is one of the greatest songwriters ever. Love the tone of his voice and his southern drawl when he talks 👍🏻 Many people don't know he use to be a talented boxer in his youth and a helicopter pilot before becoming famous 💪🏻

Seeing today's interview subject brought a tremendous smile to my face. I couldn't wait to watch. A personal hero and inspiration to me, forever a part of my childhood memories thanks to parents with impeccable music tastes that included all of Kris Kristofferson's music. I wish the man would write an autobiography because no matter how much I learn about him, it never seems complete.

Refreshing to have the audience just listen. No whooping and clapping when he said he was clean for our years. Like today,

They both are still alive. Someone should put them together (perhaps via a zoom meeting) and start a nice conversation like this.

Dick Cavett is a legend.

Besides the Rhodes scholarship and subsequent great career, people forget he was also a great Athlete...Pomona College I think. He was in the "Faces in the Crowd" feature in Sports Illustrated. I mean, the talent! And he did what he believed - went to Nashville to make it in music.

I swear Kris Kristofferson could be Steve Gaines twin brother , uncanny really , the older I get the more I like him
@nicholasjanke3476 Жыл бұрын
Heaven's Gate-the film he refers to as having done in Montana-played much better in Europe. It had problems finding it's audience in the United States. It's more of an european type western. I also liked A Star Is Born a lot. Both of Kristofferson's classic films panned by critics.

One of the coolest guys around, I grew up thinking he was a cool actor from the Convoy movie, them though being a fan of Elvis, found out he wrote songs and performed, midblown..... He may be off the booze there but still loves the weed at that point looks like

I'm sure they will go back and normalize the audio solely due to your comment. Just watch and appreciate that they even posted it in the first place.

KK's songs are very well written, and when performed well (e.g., by Willie Nelson), they are nearly transcendental.

Is this channel ever going to show Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason and/or Art Carney? I don’t have the Decades channel.

Wow , that is creepy . I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when they announced and interrupted the football game that John Lennon had been shot . Seems like it was more like 15 years ago rather than almost 41 . Wow .
