In its initial days it was a Secunderabad-Guntur express train with coaches for Howrah. It used to be delayed in return as Howrah trains were late most of the time time. Then Howrah coaches delinked and East Coast Express was started as a new train. Then extended to Tirupathi cutting off Vijayawada-Guntur part. Later extended to Nizamabad and then Adilabad. Train has totally changed compared to starting days.

Adilabad -tirupathi Krishna express ki more haltings unnay tirupathi velladaniki chala mandi ee train ni day time lo prefer cheyatla... Super fast cheyali Krishna ni.... My childhood secunderbad -tirupathi some days Nizamabad -tirupathi ippudu adilabad daka extend chesaru why adilabad..
