@xavier3585 whilst you are right, the example of the Buddha is a rare example. Even in Buddhas example He Himself teaches the eightfold path, etc if this is not religion then what is it? The person who you are saying gained knowledge, has himself taught a whole teaching which people are following as a religion - for the purpose of gaining knowledge. True religion practiced truly leads to Knowledge of God. Hence why Taliban are not attaining God. My comment was out of my utmost respect and deep reverence to our Holy scriptures, our Holy sects of Sanatana Dharma, our Holy Saints, our Holy culture, Temples and Land. I feel many people want to nowadays dilute down the importance of Hinduism, and dilute down Sanatana Dharma. They dont like the word religion, for whatever reason. Hence my comment was a show of utmost respect towards Hinduism and I was point proving - showing that let's not disrespect our mighty religion and separate it from our scriptures. It is like trying to separate the world from the sky. God is the world and He is the sky. He is the book, He is the path given in the book, He is the goal of the path, He is all of this and none of it. This is religion. You can try and separate it but you can't separate the sky from the world no matter how hard you try. The importance of Dharma is paramount. Bhagwan Krishna repeatedly emphasises the importance of Dharma. Though english language does not have the depth to accurately give a translation for Dharma, Dharma can include the meaning "religion".

My muslim friend converted himself into hinduism when he learned about Lord Krishna. @Sambhav Singh It is the reason why we have different yoga pathways not just Sanyasa yoga (complete renunciation) and all pathways lead to the same destination. If one has correct understanding of correct vedic metaphysics, then everything makes sense. The non doer experiencer athma can be mimicked in action as well eg Karma yoga It is the reason why we have other pathways like Jnana yoga and Karma yoga. Jnana yoga is like fasting and Karma yoga is like keto diet (which mimics fasting). Jnana yoga is the fasting of manas which can be practiced during your free time. Karma yoga is action without creating karma or cause and effect also called as Inaction in action (by sri krishna). Those who practice Jnana yoga for more time eventually becomes Jivan Mukth (experience the cosmos 24/7 despite the action of individual human body) which also means karma yoga or dharmic action will be very natural to them. eg Ad-shankara, Sri Krishna, Rama etc

God has made us humans as omnivores, so nothing wrong with killing animals for food. thats like saying why did God allow lions to be barbaric to kill deer. Whats wrong with fasting? It has health benefits and not much harms.

He explained beautifully what vedas means. To all the people of any faith as a Sanatani myself let me tell you we don't have a religion we have dharma I recently read a very good example on this. Consider religions be it abrahamic faiths or subsets of sanatan dharma like hinduism, buddhism, etc as BOATS made to cross the river and the river is DHARMA. Their(Boats) goal is to cross the River(Dharma) and reach to other shore(Ultimate Reality). Now what path does boat cover to take you to the other shore it doesn't matter end goal is shore. Based on the decisions you take throughout your journey you will either be in a perfect condition or non perfect condition. I hope this makes some sense. When sanatan dharma was present there were no religion everyone had a single goal to reach the shore now there are religions which make the journey easier and sometimes not easier(Bad understanding of your own religions).

This was nice to watch , but the verse stated " abandon all forms of religions and activities and simply surrender to me", is the very definition of Islam. So to a Muslim, they would see that even the Bhagavad Gita is teaching Islam. Islam is not another religion, it is simply surrender to the Lord. That is the Islamic perspective of itself. There people basically of four types. Intellectuals, followers, doers and explorers.. basically people with four kind of temprament. Intellectuals will go toward knowledge, forllowers will go toward devotions, and doers will go toward actions and explorer will go toward renunciation and exploration. Hinduism recognise this. They let each person choose their way to comnect with God as per their temprament. Path maybe different but the end goal is the same. So Islam Christianity and Ikscon represents the devotional path. We are all on the same journey but on indvidual different stages. Some may take 100 births some just one moment to reach enlightenment. But sooner or later we will reach their. Exactly the reason why there is no concept of permanent condemnation in hinduism. No permanent hell or heaven. The end goal is reach enlightenment and ultimate liberation.

Translation Just as a maddened bull elephant follows a female elephant who is able to conceive pregnancy, Lord Śiva followed the beautiful woman and discharged semen, even though his discharge of semen never goes in vain.

There are 9 type of worshipping (bhakri) to god told by lord Ram 1. Sravaṇa - 'listening' to the scriptural stories of Krishna. 2. keertana- 'praising' and group singing for the lord), 3. smaraṇa- 'remembering' or fixing the mind on Bhagwan Vishnu 4. pada-sevana- rendering service 5. archana (worshiping the lord), 6. vandana (paying homage), 7. dasya (servitude), 8. sakhya (friendship), and 9. atma-nivedana (complete surrender of the self).

This is how it should be done!! The purohit never said that they are wrong or didn’t try to prove him wrong, instead he explained it beautifully. Religion, as i would say, are just different ways or paths to attain the same, supreme being. Hindus worship the “sa-gun, saakaar” roopam of god, where “sa-gun” means ‘with qualities/behaviour/ personality’ and “saakaar” means ‘with an aakar or form’ whereas muslims worship the “nir-gun, niraakar” as we hindus call it, where “nir-gun” means without any qualities/behaviour/personality , and “niraakaar” means without any shape or form, the one which simply cannot be described even by words. The reason why we worship idols of god is because at least we get to serve him in some way by doing prayers and poojas. We say the nirgun-niraakaar roopam of lord is simply beyond our capabilities to comprehend. Hence we never disagree with what muslims believe since nirgun-niraakar bhakti is mentioned in our scriptures.
