Since you went with the rifle version, I’d recommend adding a vertical foregrip. That way you can avoid the unique placement of the controls near the mag well while still maintaining solid points of contact. Great call on the Alpine White color way. Though I don’t think the 8lb weight for a PCC is anything to overlook, the SBR or pistol version in .45 ACP while suppressed is intriguing platform. Great content. Respect. 👊🏻

I had a handle on the front to start, but later decided to just keep my left thumb more back and behind the release area. A few notes: four pins to take down total. Opening the charging handle is an auto "press check" on the other side, thus making it easy. I have the white in 9mm. I put a light on the front bottom rail. I moved the front sight back about an inch to then put a sling attachment there. Red dot on top.the thing is consistently accurate as I can be at 25 to 50 yards out. And the white color is awesome. I might be able to walk out in public with it, everyone would think it's some Storm Trooper cosplay gun.

Actually looking at one of these for my first firearm. Being in Canada, we are limited as to what we can get on a non-restricted PAL (Possession and Acquisition License). This is one of the slickest ones we can get up here, and the CRB is pretty much the only one that's non-restricted. Was even considering a IWI Tavor 7 in .308 for more long range stuff, but that's a bit pricey right now. Probably going to start the safety course shortly so I can apply for the PAL as soon as possible. (Takes a month for that to go through.) But not in .45 ACP. Looking more at 9mm for the affordability of ammo. Do like the vertical recoil mitigation for remaining on target shot after shot. One of these days, going to one of the local ranges where someone can rent a firearm and try it on the range, but they only have the .45 ACP version, but it'll work for trial purposes. Got my eye on an arctic camo one online with the forward rail extension included. Would be sweet to find a foregrip in the same color.

I have put about 300 rounds thru one (standard Rem UMC load 230gr full jacket) and am starting to get feed issues. Running a standard glock mag it will nose dive the rounds on the last two or three shots - does the same but worse with an extended KCI mag. The gun ran like a clock when it was new, but eventually became consistent at these failures. It isn't a simple fix as modifying the feed ramp or switching out a bad mag - what is happening is that the rounds nose dive INTO THE MAG itself before it even gets to the feed ramp! The other issue I am noticing is that the white top coat is beginning to lift off & flake - not a huge deal, but when your paying $, you'd expect it to last a bit longer. At this point right now - without spending an unknown amount of time trying to diagnose & fix that feed problem - I don not consider it a 'reliable' firearm. Anyone else having similar issues?

I had a .45 carbine and then a 9MMS pistol. Both had the same feeding problems.

Why is this not being used by law enforcement and SWAT? This seems to be the ideal weapon for an urban environment.
@AZGearGuy4 жыл бұрын
Good question. It is somewhat heavier than say an AR, but that's a very good question.
@cypherpunk124 жыл бұрын
@@AZGearGuy 8 pounds is hardly heavy, I can not imagine 30 rounds of .45 ACP in a polymer mag writing more than 1 pound. Law enforcement would not need the muzzle device either, that alone must weigh about a pound and a half. The AR fires 5.56 which will cut trough many layers of drywall, doors and even building framework, putting hostage and bystanders lives at risk while .45 ACP is able to use a lower velocity round such as the .45 ACP Federal LE Tactical Bonded HP that United States law enforcement already uses in their handguns. This round has the stopping power to drop the largest of targets but the bullet stats lodged in the target preventing hostages and bystanders being hit by rounds having fly through if the target. This would be a great idea for a video, you could buy some dry wall and some watermelons and set them up in the same manner as a house, if you have enough money but some internal and external doors. Then shoot different rounds into the house and see which is the better round for urban combat.
@lsowner104 жыл бұрын
“Urban” my guy just say what that actually means! 😂🥴
@cypherpunk124 жыл бұрын
@@lsowner10 You want to know what urban actually means? Urban means buildings doors rooms windows, the stuff that law enforcement deals with about 99% of the time. The vector being .45 acp would not be a good choice in a desert or jungle as the muzzle velocity and range is limited (another great idea for a video). If you shot a target at 300 feet with a vector you wouldn't even penetrate the targets flesh, it would sting a little and make them mad. They would then shoot back possibly with the AK47 that fires 7.62mm rounds that when they hit you at 300 ft will remove your head and then keep going into any of your friends standing behind you.

@@kevinbarraza1423 I’m going to be honest I do a clean it after I shoot it, I usually shoot 2/300 rounds a session and god I love this rifle ! There so many qualities that I love for myself ! To each there own but this is one of the best gun in my collection... only downside I’ll tell you off the bat that I remember is the bolt lock/release.. probably cut me about 7 times haha

Cool it can be bought with non restricted licence in Canada, but it’s pricy & sometimes sold out! A few brave souls have used legal firearms for self/ home defense & oh boy! The process is the punishment. People spend $thousands in court, but charges likely get dropped!

Would you prefer this to a Scorpion or a Stribog?

Actually, I'd prefer a Scorpion for esthetics mainly. I think CZ is a great company with quality products.

Seems gimmicky and kind of impractical with the barrel sticking out so much, to avoid a ATF tax stamp. The 5.5 inch barrel version seems to be a lot of gun for just a pistol round. I wonder for those who own a Hi Point carbine or AR in the same caliber, if the recoil mitigation is worth it. To me if they redisigned it in a bullpup version where the trigger is in front of the recoil mitigation and longer barrel to get a more compact design. I can see why law enforcement don't use it due to a large profile for a meager pistol round in a short barrel length.

@davidray26823 жыл бұрын
@@kevinbarraza1423 The ejection port is made of a weaker polymer and hot loads can crack it. I'd recommend seeing if a local machinist can replicate the piece in some form of steel or aluminum. Probably wouldnt be too difficult to do.

Great video. Do you think it would be easier to remove the muzzle device/change the barrel after filing a form 1 or going with the pistol version and adding a stock after the form 1?
@AZGearGuy4 жыл бұрын
I think your best bet is the second option. Setting it up as a pistol and doing all the paperwork afterwards.
@rickhunter65134 жыл бұрын
Navy Sooner go pistol, that’s what I did. Registered it as SDP and then changed it to an SBR. You could also say screw the $200 tax stamp and put a nice pistol brace on it. I SBR’d mine because I wanted it in it’s true form. Too bad can’t get it in full auto 😕
