In mes 8, i see that it has stecc marks on top of the note , but it also has a slur , so we just play the notes short while still slurring? Amazing playing by the way!

Hi Alexander, thank you for this important question. Another definition for staccato is “separated” (as with the tongue). This really helps us with figuring out how to do this sort of marking we have in measures 8 and 33, where we have both staccato and slur marked. What we must do is to articulate each note but keep them somewhat long. I hope this helps and wish you the best for your auditions!
