I think it’s a lot down to genetics too! I do mini cleans on my skin and have Botox once every two years and I have good skin (my moms is incredible and she uses soap and moisturiser). My gran was 96 when she died - NEVER went in the Sun and also just soft soap and moisturiser - the best skin you’ve seen. I think look at your family’s skin.

Once every 2 years! How much do you get? I want to start soon but my aesthetician said you should get it atleast once a year. My friend who is 29 gets it every 6 months. I certainly don't want to overdue it and would rather do less

I have acne-rosacea (aka redness with red bumps) - it usually comes in flare-ups that can last up to 4-5 months (and then goes away for even an entire year) but by researching and having a great dermatologist I can manage it more than brilliantly. *That (dirty) Clarisonic is the worst thing she could ever do for it!!!* So aggressive... Ceramides, centella asiatica, azelaic acid, niacinamide, sunscreen, mostly staying away from fragrance (although my skin is not necessarily sensitive...), green tea and camomile, mandelic acid for exfoliation and being super gentle with your skin are the keys to keep it under control and make it better and better over time. I use a topical medicated cream when my skincare isn't enough. I also use vitamin c and retinol (and yes my skin is almost back to being super pale as before now!) because my skin loves them but if your skin is too sensitive you can avoid them, of course. Those mechanical things are too harsh...the max that I use is a jade roller but only 2-3 times a week...

Hi Susan! Sunscreen question, I use the Elta MD 46 and I looovveee the nice glow it gives me. However I find that with niacinemide, that it can get pilly or in general if I rub it too much, what is another sunscreen that can give me that same glow but a little of a different texture. On my third bottle and would love to try something new. 💕💕💕

Not Susan but fellow Elta MD user here and I would suggest checking out the UV Shield (Broad-Spectrum SPF 45). It's for the "face and body" but comes in a larger package (7 oz) for the same amount of $ and doesn't have the niacinamide. I've been wearing it for years and it's a great formulation!

I went to an all girl Catholic high school that had a Tim Hortons and a tanning salon across the street….Sooooo…. You fill in the blanks…. Iced Capps, tanning beds, and a constant red face and chest 😭😭😭😭I know that’s why my forehead wrinkles are so bad and why my chest is so discolored! Years and years of tanning after school and I am so pale so my first visit was only 4 minutes in the bed and I was a 🦞 and got made fun of often for my red ass!!!
