We put that Hemnes pull out bed in our Mom’s 2nd bedroom, so we can stay overnight and take care of her. It pulls out to a king size bed. LOVE it!!

Love your "Shop With Me Videos" Kristin. Your tips are so helpful when looking for a refresh. I love the peacefulness of my neutral ,traditional home, but lately I've been feeling it needs a more "personal" touch, more color. Do you have any ideas on how I could incorporate this in a tasteful way?

We went to IKEA 2 days back to back this week and saw a lot of stuff in your video including those aprons. We ended up getting the Havsta cabinets for a kitchen remodel we're doing. I've hated my kitchen cabinets on one side since we moved in. We also went during the week which was perfect for just browsing through everything slowly. I wish ours had stairs because that walk through with only one floor is a TREK.

WOW Kristen!! Your video is sooo on time. I've been hitting Ikea HARD for the past 3.5 weeks. Soooo many things in your video I have recently gotten. Just finished a whole house reno. Your office new built in video inspired me in the fall to do a HAVSTA beige built in look for a breakfast bar in our master bedrm. Just finished kitchen and fridge organizing with Ikea accessories last week. Now we're finally pulling the PAX boxes outta the garage (been in there since August during the reno) and assembling our master closet system this week. Everything looks soo great with the SW Westhighland White that I previously mentioned to you that we used as our whole house color. THANK U for this great video....Keep em' coming!!!

I'd already spotted that lovely teapot pot in our local IKEA in the UK! I'll be picking it up on my next visit. We have a really expensive brand in the UK called Denby pottery and the kitchen line, including the teapot, mugs, etc, is very similar (but much cheaper!).

I never opened the doors in Ikea, then when my daughter was three I took her to Ikea and she opened everything! I was so surprised with the eye for detail Ikea has with the room layouts. There was even cutlery in the drawers!

I have a question I’m in a 3 bed 2bath house in SC it’s a new build my en-suite bathroom I have granite counter tops they are a neutral beige/brown/spots of black in it I want to replace the countertops in my guest bath do they have to match? How can we mix less expensive pieces like those from IKEA with our custom made higher end furniture? For example the small round metal side tables shown in the video around 1/3 of the way through. Or an accent chair IKEA in a room with a tall heirloom secretary, etc.? New video idea 🙏 😊

For me the trick is that there has to be something cohesive between the higher end/old and the ikea pieces - be it colour, texture, theme, style/era reference point etc, or just a personal connection/memory. Ultimately trust what you feel when you are in the space, let that be your guide, as how it feels to/works for the users of the space is the only thing that truly matters in design from my perspective at least.

I love IKEA. I grew up in Wisconsin and would go to the one near Chicago. I also lived abroad for a time and would go to IKEA to get stuff for my apartment. I am back in the US and the nearest IKEA to me is in Minnesota. I actually just shopped their featured deals online and got some nice things. I love IKEA... I'm a lifelong shopper. Their designs, practicality, and prices are great. 😃

Why does a house have to be cohesive? I find it so uninteresting when all looks the same. I don't personally care for neutral colors to begin with,just my personal taste,but when all of it is the same shade of a few color tones it all disappears. You really would dislike my house.
