My bedroom is small. I really like the idea of placing curtain panels along a window wall, this gives me an option of placing my bed, not just only one wall. The headboard covers are genius 🤗🤗🤗

I have a brass bed that I was going to get rid of but in this home the only place for the bed is in front of a window. I wanted an upholstered frame but thought it would close off that window. So I kept the bed for now and I took your idea & made the drapes go to ceiling & about a foot past each bed post. I think it looks beautiful. I also got rid of the large mirror that came with the dresser. I put up a large, gold framed round mirror. What a difference!

I'm incredibly low on storage and I already have under the bed drawers- but I've been considering putting one of my dressers in my walk in closet, this is my sign to organize my closet next week and give it a try. I feel like a statement tree would be much more appealing in that spot because I've already got a sideboard under my low pitched ceiling/skylight and another dresser on a different wall. Feels like too much!

I like that you mention a shelf for the bedside table. I realized the only thing I used my bedside table for was my phone charging station. Everything inside was just catching dust..so I got rid of it and installed a small shelf (my bedside light is a sconce).

I need it all. Just moved into a new house. Currently have an elevated air mattress (a nice one) 3 blank and one wall with a large windows. Have always wanted a headboard, have only had 2 in my adult life and like the idea of a headboard cover if I can ever find the headboard that I like. Oh, and 2 mismatch night stands from Amazon.

Sure there are some high-end Hotel bedrooms that look absolutely stunning.... but I don't want my home to look like that . I want my home to be a reflection of the things that are me.... the things that I enjoy ...the things that represent who I am and the Decor reflects that.

We put our bed in front of a window and we hung a quilt rack with a shelf and it looks balanced, in a 11x10 bedroom and have a California King bed.The quilt has tropical colors.It fits our taste . We have to end tables that are our chest for clothes.They are perfect size for California King.We did driftwood and we have a matching chest at foot of our bed for quilt storage.We also both have 2 each drawers under our bed.Since our room is so small we made do with a lot of your suggestion.Thx

....As far as bed placement, it is helpful to know your good Feng Shui Directions since this is important. I've had to place my bed angled, in the corner a few times , because of the room layout, and it was the best Direction for me. So it comes down to more than trying to center the bed . 🙂😊 Of course, simple bedding is elegant, classy for everyday .... and can be " dressed up " for Holidays, etc.

I had 2 different lamps in a similar style (stained glass) on my matching nightstands because I didn’t want it to look like an altar around my 4 poster bed. After I got a different bedroom set with a smaller headboard and 2 different size nightstands, I bought matching lamps. I prefer a lamp with a more round base over tall, narrow lamps for nightstands. I hope this helps with that part of your question.

Yeah, we bought that very popular Ikea trundle bed. So amazing in theory. The problem is the mattress . . . in theory you have some sort of mattress that you can store when you pull it out, or you have twin mattress on top and pull out and fill with a foam mattress when you want a double . . . but we had no storage for that. So it just became an awkward double bed. Which was fine when she was 13 but the when it became an adult bed, it was actually too short for adults to stretch out on. So the whole concept was a fail. Anyone want a free trundle bed with the foot side chopped off?

I am trying to find a good palette for my bedroom, it's chopping and changing all the time and I am struggling to find something cohesive, that was until I saw this video. I want something stylish, neutral and warm, think I just found my answer. Never thought of those colours at all, the back wall you painted is a beautiful colour, though a little dark for my tiny bedroom. However I am sure a lighter shade would be perfect! My husband is really tall and so his head touches, whatever is behind the pillow. He always stains that! If it is wallpaper, I pretty much can't do anything, but do an entire new strip there. So NO wallpaper for us. If it's paint I regularly have to paint over. That's simple, unless you cannot get that color anymore or forgot which 'white' it was. Than it's really frustrating. If it's a headboard of some type of cloth, that is attached, it's the most frustrating! But if it is something one can wipe down with soap and water, like a painted wood, than it's super easy. Wood that cannot be cleaned with water is the worst! A slipcover, that can be washed warm enough is the second best option, right after the materials you can simple clean with a damp cloth.

For those of us who are stuck with the matching furniture sets in our bedrooms, besides putting one of the pieces in a closet, do you have any other creative DIY tips for successfully mixing it up a bit? (Like disconnecting the attached mirror from the dresser, painting the nightstand, etc.)? I want to try something but I also don't want to totally mess it up! ❤

Yes take the mirror off. Place other pieces in other rooms or have them painted in another color.

I inherited my husband’s grandmother’s bedroom set. Thank goodness it didn’t come with a headboard because our bed is Cal King. I chose not to alter the pieces because they still have the original finish. Very detailed, beautiful warm wood. Nothing like what we had before so it has taken adjusting. Are your pieces heirloom antiques or more recent? Sometimes deciding you don’t need as many pieces helps. Sometimes just rearrange the room and get new hardware.

Hi have a mini split unit installed on the wall in my bedroom. It is essential for heating and cooling, but it’s not a tractive. What ideas do you have for how to make this look better and less noticeable.
