Once i was live in Pontianak for a month during my work site. A city with full traditional ethnicity such as chinese, dayak, javanese, and etc. No wonder there is a lot of culinary and history.

Kris, you should go to Gunung Kongbeng Regency and go to the stone cave church if you are at East Kalimantan, go to Derawan Island, and when you are at South Kalimantan, you need to go to Kotabaru Island, and you can go to the kotabaru from Serongga > Tarjun > Ferry to Kotabaru. Make sure you taste "Lontong Kandangan", and "Clear Soto Banjar" ya! Kalau bisa dapat penginapan sekitar Serongga ( Kelumpang Hilir ) ya! hehehe Have a nice trip, Kris!

Try the pentek to ghutok route at mempawah, that's the best route for macan, and great view for sunset, and try the bun-bun area. It's on mempawah too
