Good luck on your journey my friend. One of my favorite route in Indonesia is between city of Balikpapan to Samarinda through Bukit Suharto (if I'm not mistaken the name). A twisty road inside an old forest. Beautiful. And end up finishing crossing Mahakam river. It's like a satisfying finish line when you crossed the bridge. Satisfaction guarantee. When you said you gonna take trip to Kalimantan, I just remembered of the viral meme that shows place in East Kalimantan called "Bukit Kelam". The meme talked about the comparation of Indonesia and Konoha village (the village in Japanese Anime "Naruto Shippuden"). And also don't forget to meet Andrew Kalaweit in Central Kalimantan.
