The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) is returning the annual Fun in the Sun Chili Cook-Off this October, with all proceeds going towards the Special Olympics. While chili is the focus of the event, there is much more to do, including a classic car show.
There is also set to be live music, a kids zone, vendors and LASD displays.
Tickets for the chili tasting start at $10 for adults, $5 for junior tasting, and children under 5 are free. Those who purchase an adult chili card can taste chili from over 25 booths and vote on their favorite.
The big chili cook-off is set to be held on October 12 at Jack Bones Equestrian Center in Castaic.
