I love my shark flex style. You can adjust the temperature on the shark, and it also has a cool button . I always press my cool button after i airwrap each section. Same for roundbrush, let it cool for a couple second, it will help hold the curls longer.

Thank you so much for such a thorough, detailed review. I picked up the Shark on sale at Costco for $250 and it came with all the attachments. I have waist length hair, and there’s a lot of it. The big round brush has been great, and my waves have lasted 2-3 days using the curling barrels. I think the Dyson looks wonderful, and I see why some prefer it. I really think both of them are great options, and I love how you presented the pros/cons of both to help us all make the best choice for us.

You should try the new attachments shark came out with. There’s a smaller barrel and a smaller round brush 🙂

I bought the smaller barrel and I've been playing with it! I almost feel like it's more difficult to run through the hair now since there's more bristles and less area for my hair to glide. Definitely need to keep practicing with it!

I used all my Ulta points and a gift card and got my Dyson for like $65 😅 it’s nice and all but I wish they had a big round brush like the Shark had and like the Revlon round brush. I’m hoping Dyson comes out with one too. I should’ve waited till the Shark came to Ulta tho 🥲

I JUST bought the Shark yesterday! Lol. Your video was very informative. I actually have the old original Dyson blow dryer from about 7 years ago. It was time for a new one and I had been debating whether to get the Dyson airwrap or the Shark flexstyle. I went with the flexstyle. Thanks for posting!

It appears that you had better results with the Shark. The "cool shot" of the Dyson may have seemed more effective, but in the end, the style held up better on the Shark side.

I mainly want a round brush blowout. I use a round brush plus my conair, I can do a decent blowout but it’s never as nice and smooth as at the salon. I’m debating getting one of these; maybe the shark would be best for me. Or Dyson supersonic. So many options

I tried both. I wanted to love the shark but it’s heavier, noisier and extremely hot. I couldn’t see myself using every day. The dyson is way expensive but like you said on sale it is a good investment for me. I go less to the salon and my hair never been healthier

I splurged a little and got the Dyson set at sephora with rouge 20% off 😂 def needs a different set of skills to master it but imo it is better than spending $100-200 each for 4-5 diff tools. Plus my hair doesnt get that fried stiff feeling like when i used an iron
