@@nazli4889 exactly! And that’s the most sustainable way of shopping. People love to promote all of these “sustainable and ethical” brands but don’t realize that there is still production required and those clothes still end up in a landfill. Thrifting repurposes a product that has already been made, and prevents it from ending up in a landfill. Same with people promoting “sustainable” glass bottles or whatever... instead of buying something “sustainable” why not continue using the plastic thermal you already have or clean a jar of olives that you’ve finished. Labeling something sustainable doesn’t mean anything if you’re buying something because it’s “sustainable” and “aesthetic” instead of using what you have or thrifting it. I think the world today has such a skewed view of sustainability and they think because they paid $78 for a tshirt or $35 for a cup that it’s somehow better for the environment.
