Kristin! I have the solution for the long metal panel; we had the same exact one! Find yourself a long hanging macrame to hook above it & hide it with! They’re so easy to remove if you need to access your panel but if you get the thickly woven kind (you won’t see the grey through it) with little pockets in it it’s also practical for pacifiers, bows, headbands, etc.! Hope you see this & it helps 🏹

Hey Kristen! I'm a cat trainer - my advice to save your couch is to put a (cute) cat scratcher tower right next to the corner of the couch, so Dolly learns to scratch that instead. Also, learning how to trim her nails (and training her to be okay with nail trimming) will significantly reduce her need/impulse to scratch things, as this is a response to her nails getting too long and her brain telling her to file them down. Dolly and your house are both so adorable
