Another amazing interview Christie! I immediately thought when seeing Nassat’s beautiful work, I want those patterns! Nassau, your creations are amazingly beautiful. When I learned that you didn’t have patterns for your work I was at first selfishly disappointed but then I understood why you would not want to see your creations every time you turned around. And you would!! I think some who only knit would learn to crochet just to be able try and copy your Beautiful.... Dynamic....... creations. Christie, I applaud you once again for your introduction to Nassau, another fabulous artist!!

@lindarose7125 жыл бұрын
Thank you both for this interview! The crochet jackets are fantastic (erm, also Dynamic)! I’m a longtime crocheter (knit too, now) and wonder what yarns (fiber tupes and yarn construction types) the artist most likes to use for the structured items, the trim, etc. would totally pay for an advanced construction class if the artist were to offer one via internet platform or in person (Boston area). Thanks!

DYNAMIC INTERVIEW It's great seeing a man crocheting at your level, keep up the great work my Caribbean brother. One disagreement I have with you, crochet is not a dying art. Have you seen the European runways? crochet is always on the runway. Trini to the bone.

Love the pieces man! I feel you on the U.S. thinking because you do yarn and fabric craft/work that you are somehow less a man. I used to hide size 30 and 80 thread in my ruck or pocket when I was an infantryman to do my rehab work on my hands by making fine crochet lace. The thread was small enough as was my hook that I could hide it and not get harassed by my brothers for doing a “woman’s thing”. Nowadays I do it all in public and don’t give a rats 🐀 what they think. Being part of the broke dick brigade I have to have something I can still do to keep my mind active. Keep up the crafting, learning, and teaching the young how to do a craft for enjoyment no matter the social stigmas.
