At 6:14, using transparent mask to enhance part of image. 1. Blur the copied layer of the image. 2. Add transparent mask to the blurred image, and make the part transparent. 3. Original image which is not blurred will show up with other blurred.

Awesome Video :-) The Gaussian Blur option is especially interesting. I'm pretty sure that I already encountered artwork that took advantage of this. Are you open for suggestions? If so: Can you explain some of the G'MIC filters when you find the time. They look very intimidating to me ;-D

Thank you! I won't cover gmic filters anytime soon, mostly because there is none I'd recommend using right now. It does have a lot of filters, but it's not too useful as far as game art is concerned.

GDquest Not even the "Ripple" Filter? Because, I have often seen that something similar is used for fade-away animations on beaten enemies or for reflections on moving water.

How can one use a Transparent Layer as a blur layer to blur whats underneath it?

Am I wrong when I assume that you're french? It's actually really difficult to hear! Amazing video, by the way. La vidéo est très bien ! Tu est un très bien instructeur ! My french is not great, but it's something :D
