These brushes "Sketch v2" are great! I was quite happy with Krita standard brushes, but... They all are kinda too sharp for my sloppy hands, so I always wanted something more soft, for loose scribble sketching. And this is right what I wanted. Textured, soft, tilting, pressure sensitive... On textured canvas it feels so AMAZING! Much love to all Krita team❤ Also much thanks for not just technical tutorials, but also basic art stuff like gesture drawing!

I never really considered myself a drawer. I'm actually a game developer looking for inspiration. I want all of the art for my game art to be my own. I'm learning tips for drawing things and I'm starting to see that its just like any other skill, It just takes practice. I find myself pacing around lots thinking about how I want certain elements of my artwork to look and feel. Discovering how I want to design the flow of the art, and what I want to communicate to the person viewing it. I never expected drawing to take so long, or so much thought, practice, etc. Great tips - I'm slowly picking up the skill - something you don't see enough is the effort it took someone to get to where they are. I feel like this video spoke volumes to the practice that goes into making a finished product look perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed. 👍

First of all, you are an amazing artist. Your drawing skills are stunning. And you are a wonderful teacher. The way you explain brushes and Krita in general makes it easy to use and understand Krita. On top of that, you create awesome brushes for free. I really love to use them on a regular basis. Coming from analog oil painting I also use the Krita oil brushes and would like to create some RGBA brushes myself, but it seems I didn't get it right. To be precise, I was working on a fan brush who is sensitive to tilt and rotation. Any suggestions on how to achieve this effect?

It would be a good request. you can go here to publish one. krita-artists.org/c/develop/feature-requests/17. There devs would decide if they can afford the effort of creating this new feature based on budget, time, and also community´s feedback. Remember to add images and a good reason of WHY? we need that feature. Or how would you like to see implemented. The more info the more interest you can generate. I'm still using Krita 4 because a year ago when I downloaded new version, all my Brush folders and even edited brushes that were saved were gone. So I had to install the old version again because I don't wanna lose it. Is there a way to keep all my brush settings and custom folders/tags? I really don't want to redo it, but I wanna have new versions.
@KritaOrgPainting Жыл бұрын
If you are using Krita 4 you are loosing a lot of good things. But i understand that you don't want to loose your brushes. simply make a back up of all your resources folders. I always hava copy of "krita" folder. try to download again Krita 5.1.5 and then copy only the folders "brushtips" "patterns" and Paintoppresets" . Let me know if that works for you please. //RM
@majozajo Жыл бұрын
@@KritaOrgPainting Hi, unfortunately it didn't work, I copied all three folders 'brushes' 'paintoppresets' and 'patterns' and after downloading newest version 5.15 I replaced them with my old folders, but any of the tags(folders) for my brushes werent there. In the new 5.15 krita version in the manage resources was option to 'Save tags to folder' so you won't loose them in future upgrades, but the 4.4.8 version doesnt have that. So I had to downgraded my Krita again. Is there anything else I could try? Because it seems like 5.15 version has option to backup tags but it's too late for me in the new version for it since it doesn't show up. Is there a way for direct contant with someone from krita? Other than the forum on website. I'll try to ask on forum first.
