For all those who are saying that the title should have been kalpana. NO. If it were kalpana, everyone would constantly focus on kalpana but the writer wanted audience to focus on kriti so that the suspense of kalpana being the imaginary person would blow them away. I think kriti is the best title. It made the suspense worth it!

Creation (Kriti, Rachna, Srijan) is the duaghter of imagination (Kalpna). Because any creation start from imagination. Here, in this film, Kalpna (imagination) is the real creation of Sapan and she is also her imaginary childhood friend. Sapan always listened to the advice of his imaginary phycatric friend but never focused on her name...never doubted her. Imagination is much more dominating than creation.

For those who have not understood this Sapan meets a girl named kriti(creation in English) a month ago and they started living together. When sapan meets de kalpana(imagination in English) she asks him about any proof of her existence because even earlier rachna(creation)who didn't exist(but actually did exist). He couldn't show her any proof because kriti had agoraphobia. Then dr tells sapan to Skype her when he meets her. But dr kalpana can't see her in the video. He tries other ways to prove her existence but when he fails(co-incidence) he kills her. Next day a policeman comes and surprisingly he could see kriti. When police man tries to call dr kalpana it turned out to be sapan's own no. And when they go to meet dr kalpana it turned out to be sapan's own house. So dr kalpana is her imagination not kriti Or rachna. And now dr kalpana provokes him to kill inspector (srijan again creation). 6:13 in his phone I don't think dr kalpana is there 7:23 he asks her why she doesn't cook because if he could eat food made by her that would mean she is real 8:25 he says "so proud of myself" because he has imagined a good reason agoraphobia 15:52 he comes directly to the sofa because she always meet her at the same place whereas he had to search for kriti which meant kalpana is sapan's imagination not kriti Remember sapan is a writer maybe he just made up all these stories just to prove his innocence

For those who didn't understand (Spoilers ahead)🚨: That guy was a kind of psycho, with a tendency to get confused among who is real and who is not. He meets with a girl called Kriti, and informed his psychiatrist(Radhika Apte) about it. She warns him that maybe the girl Kriti is not real, and tells him to show her via video call. After seeing Kriti, the psychiatrist says that she cannot see any girl, and that she must be just a mere creation of the guy, and so advices him to get rid of Kriti. And the guy believes Radhika and murders Kriti, thinking that she is not real. Meanwhile, the psychiatrist also refers to a girl called Rachna, who was also murdered by the same guy in a same way, as he then also assumed that Rachna was not real and just his creation. But later in morning, the police arrives and then the guy gets shocked that the police can see Kriti's dead body(as the guy thought she is unreal). The police officer arrests him and gets to know about his mental illness of thinking real people as unreal. The police asks the psycho guy to show him his psychiatrist, but later the climax reveals that all the characters whom the psycho had murdered were real in life. Only the psychiatrist was UNREAL. The story ends as the imaginary psychiatrist again tells the guy to get rid of the police, as his name was SRIJAN, which means creation. And the psycho, again thinking the officer as imaginary, murders him.

This is a good short film but the comment section did not pass the vibe check 😂 I was expecting some great intelligent analysis, maybe real life people with Schizophrenia or their relatives sharing what they think about it. But I think they won't because this movie is kinda demonizing people with the mental illness and showcasing them as monster/murderer. For people who don't get it: Schizophrenia is a mental disorder/mental illness that causes people to see, hear, smell things and experiences that are out of touch with reality. It is very serious and life threatening. Yes It causes you to literally see and hear people that do not exist in real life. The creation of the mind. You hallucinate so much that at one point it becomes distressing to figure out what's reality and what's fake. Imagine , 3 or 4 different people "sitting" inside your head. Having real life like conversations, screaming, arguing and it literally feels like they're real people but the voices feel like coming from the outside, that's what it's like for people with this condition - and these voices are NEVER positive. They are very absurd and vulgar. Calling the patient ugly, telling them to k*ll themselves, feeding into delusions, like "your family hates you and they're plotting to m*rder you. Imagine living with this every single day But in most cases the patients are more likely to harm themselves than other people because it's so distressing when you can't figure what's reality and fake anymore. So this is a very exaggerated attempt to showcase it and is somewhat stigmatizing people with this illness then they already are in our society. I think most people don't even understand what is schizophrenia in india and most likely most of these poor people get associated with भूत-प्रेत and all that. They deserve ethical medical treatment. Here in the movie Manoj vajpai was the one suffering from Schizophrenia, his creation that was Dr. Kalpana told him to k*ll other people. Kriti and the policemen were real people.

I think the movie talks about the imagination(kalpana) in our dreams( sapan) and the different elements we create(kriti,rachana,srijan) in it from our imagination. This imagination controls the creation and destruction of characters in our dream story. From childhood, we have vivid imagination in our dreams. Ofcourse, this would be be much more intense for a creative person like a writer.

Its so fab..pata hi nahi chal Raha Hain kaun real and kaun imaginary..and beech beech main itna Dara deta Hain pataak se koi samne aa jata Hain...it makes it more intense..I feel that Kalpana is imaginary..Manoj is having psychological disorder..so his imaginary friend Kalpana makes him to kill those people whom he thinks is imaginary.. Kalpana is imaginary..and all others are real I guess so
