These mothers all look ill. Also because she has no hair, there was very little for the baby to hold on to and she could have fallen off at the higher levels.
@portiamatthews96544 жыл бұрын
I believe that by these chimpanzees being held in captivity it's what's causing the hairless. There's a place in England that has chimpanzees and they're hairless also. More than likely the Chimpanzees' are stressed about living in a confined space. Their natural habitat is the great outdoors and not a scales down version. Even though they are well provide4 and loved, it's nothing like the real thing. 😁👍

@Bigbaymonstermare4 жыл бұрын
Portia Matthews but that’s a part of the big world and the ecosystems that chimps, apes, monkeys, heck- all of us!- live in. They groom each other as a social activity which further cements the bonds they make and insects and stuff help encourage that. They’re living without the foliage of the trees and their natural habitat; complete with free flowing water and having to forage or look much harder when hunting down food which keeps obesity at bay and makes babies stronger and increases their chances of growing into a strong adults who become accepted and protected/comforted by their family. I don’t see a place in this video that the chimps can readily escape to, there is no privacy to safeguard their sense of well-being. They can’t scamper up the trees and settle between the leaves and branches with their babies to be able to fully relax and feel safe in that privacy. I know if I were on display, I would hate the cement and glass prison. It would lead to agitation and stress, so you can imagine what these animals are going through and it makes sense that they suffer from Trichotillomania - they pull hair out like parrots pull feathers out.
@portiamatthews96544 жыл бұрын
@@Bigbaymonstermare , Thank you for your response. I agree with your comment. "I can only imagine what these animals are going through in this cement glass prison". That's an excellent example to describe this place. Also, well stated these animals are deprived of their natural habitat. Where they would have trees, branches, leaves, free flowing water, fresh air and sunshine. Their ability to forage, hunt and climb are taken away from them. In it's place they're given a loft and ropes to hang on from. You also pointed out that they are social which creates their bond for one another, their comfort of families. Without these factors they'll develop anxiety, stress and unable to relax. They suffers from a condition called Trichotillomania - they pull hair out like parrots pluck feathers out. It's several channels on KZbin these videos are recorded from Cambodia and it's about the Rhesus Macques Monkeys at the ancient temple of Ankgor Wats Temple where the monkeys habitat. I find some of the VOs are creating drama with these monkeys. Not just drama but severe injuries, missing, killing and beatings of these monkeys. What they're actually doing is interfering with the hiearchy of the monkeys. Such as feeding the babies or lower ranking monkeys out of ranking. This is a death sentence to the babies and lower ranking monkeys. I don't know if you are familiar with these videos. Of course there are other places around the globe that records these monkeys. With KZbin paying people for their content, clicks and views, some of the VOs feel like the videos have to be dramatic. Therefore, they instigate the monkeys. I'm sharing this with you because you seem to be well verse in the knowledge of primates. And I thought you may enjoy some of the videos. I must warn you before hand that watching these videos can become addictive. Especially when you see the cutest little babies. They're absolutely beautiful and adorable.😊. I do have a question for you and I hope that you can help me to understand something. In the comment that I posted, the only thing that I stated; "Probably because of insects and then they would have to use a pesticide. The ropes that are hanging above are used instead of trees." I couldn't sedgway your comment with mine. Could you please help me out. I'm an old lady and this is my way of checking myself to see if my faculties are in working order 😊. I would gladly appreciate your help. I enjoyed immensely your comment. Thank you kindly for your response.

rogue0621 possibly, I mean they all kinda look like they have mange or something, it could also be stress, the enclosure they are in is just a big room and it’s not very natural and quite boring. At no point in this video did "This Baby Chimpanzee Almost Went To Heaven Because Of His First-Time Mother". A chimp baby is not like a human baby, they are not delicate fragile flowers. Ive watched a mother chimp carry around her dead baby for weeks and the carcass was still so strong that it stayed intact, even after becoming essentially mummified. I've seen chimp mothers accidentally drop their babies from high up in the trees, but everytime its happened the baby chimp is fine despite the long fall. They are made out of much much tougher stuff than we are.
